💼 100+ New Yorkers will begin paid, full-time service at City agencies and nonprofits
🏙️ 6x more nonprofits will gain critical capacity to serve their neighborhoods
🙌 Nearly 90,000 people will directly benefit, from youth and older adults to families across all five boroughs
At @nycemergencymgt we know the value of this work. Since 2009, AmeriCorps members have helped our city prepare for and recover from disasters. Many stayed on and are now part of our full-time staff, strengthening our ability to keep New Yorkers safe.

The Yankees were excited to once again partner with @NYCService, the New York City Housing Authority (@NYCHA), and the Department of Homeless Services (@NYCDHS), in support of the 2025 Project Move-In Day initiative 🙌
This year, the Yankees provided college essentials — from laptops to bedding to hampers and more — to 120 students living in NYCHA housing,This initiative helps to ensure that college-bound students who are part of DHS’ Future Leaders Scholars Program have the resources they need to thrive as they begin the next chapter of their lives and move into campus/off-campus housing.
