🌡️ Building Bengaluru’s Climate Resilience
GBA Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao today launched the Heat Health Protocol, developed by the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) in collaboration with C40 Cities, Sensing Local and Hasiru Dala to strengthen Bengaluru’s preparedness and response to extreme heat events, and other climate-related risks.
🔹 Key Focus Areas
• Heat risk preparedness
• Real-time weather monitoring & early alerts
• Heat action protocols & trigger-based response
• Cooling centres for vulnerable communities
• Health & emergency response coordination
• Green roofs, cool roofs & urban greening
• Climate-resilient building & infrastructure design
• Ward-level weather stations & high-resolution forecasting
• Capacity building across departments and city corporations
The protocol follows three key phases — Preparedness, Response and Review — with coordinated action across multiple departments.
🌿 From climate-resilient infrastructure to real-time weather intelligence, Bengaluru is taking important steps towards becoming a safer, cooler and more resilient city.
FECC Special Commissioner Sushama Godabhole, Bengaluru North City Corporation Commissioner and Nodal Officer (Heat Initiatives) Pommala Sunil Kumar, GBA officials, Karnataka State Disaster Management Department, Sensing Local, C40 Cities, Hasiru Dala, Selco Foundation and other representatives were present.

Especially a major problem at Terminal 1. Uber drivers have often told me they like to avoid T1.
What’s happening with Uber at Delhi Airport.
We waited nearly 40 minutes just to get an Uber Go. Naturally, we assumed there must be a shortage of cabs.
Then we stepped outside and saw a serpentine queue of Uber cab drivers waiting for passengers.
So what’s really happening?
It appears Uber is prioritising its premium services over Uber Go, because premium rides generate higher fares and, presumably, more revenue per trip.
The result? Passengers who choose the affordable Uber Go option are made to wait 30–40 minutes, while plenty of cabs are sitting idle outside.
If this is indeed how the system is designed to work, Uber needs to explain why customers opting for affordable service are effectively being penalised with longer waiting times.
Delhi Airport shouldn’t become a place where dynamic pricing quietly turns into deliberate service prioritisation.

That is not “direct poison”. It’s the egg’s membrane. In fact, there are 2 membranes - one that is attached to the inside of the shell and one wrapped around the egg white. It offers additional protection against microbial attack in case there is a crack in the shell.
Fun fact: it’s not only edible, it’s made of collagen, and many collagen supplements are made from this membrane.
Even more fun fact: in very fresh eggs, the membrane sticks to the egg white and is harder to remove. As the egg gets older, the membrane is easier to remove from the boiled egg.
The egg is one of nature’s most accomplished works. A single, self-contained marvel, packed with every protein the body craves, brimming with vitamins and fats laid down to nourish new life. And yet, in the modern poultry farming context, IT IS PURELY VEGETARIAN because an unfertilised egg hosts no life, just the raw material to nourish it. Cracked into a hot pan, it firms into culinary gold. Whipped, it rises into airy clouds. Coddled, poached, folded into the silkiest of custards, or scrambled into bhurji, it bends endlessly to the cook’s will. Few things on this Earth give so generously, in so many guises. This, surely, is perfection in miniature. The greatest single ingredient in the kitchen.
Dear Food Regulator @fssaiindia plz see, this is a Direct poison in name of protien.
Request @MoHFW_INDIA to look into it
@JPNadda Sir
Such a lazy and boring movie. Extremely bad writing and execution. Delhi Crime and Kohraa were such well executed cop dramas, #Kartavya is just bad.

Long message, but trust me, it will be worth your time. Here is a remarkable update from Tamil Nadu’s tagged turtles. Early tracking data shows that some have already travelled to the Sri Lanka Dome, a little known ocean region where marine life gathers in extraordinary numbers. What makes this even more astonishing is that turtles migrating from Odisha are also expected to arrive in the same waters. Species from distant coastlines are converging at one natural marine hotspot shaped entirely by the rhythm of the ocean.
The Sri Lanka Dome is created by powerful seasonal ocean processes that bring cool, nutrient-rich waters to the surface. This fuels plankton blooms and attracts turtles, fish, whales, seabirds, and countless other marine species. It is one of the most productive upwelling zones in the world’s oceans, beginning in May, reaching its peak in July, and declining in September. At that time, the turtles move out of the region and begin their return migration once again.
These journeys reveal that turtles do not belong to one shoreline or one state. Their lives depend on a CONNECTED ocean, where feeding grounds, migration corridors, and breeding beaches all matter equally.
Places like the Sri Lanka Dome remain unknown to most people, yet they are among the most important ecosystems in the Indian Ocean, like hidden engines that sustain marine biodiversity.
The message from these turtles is clear. Conservation cannot stop at the beach. It must extend across borders and across seas because wildlife knows no boundaries 🙌🫶

Hello again to all those glued to Amur Watch !
The Amur Falcons are rewriting the limits of endurance. From the forests of Manipur, three satellite-tagged travellers Apapang, Alang and Ahu have taken the world by storm. Here is the latest update from their epic journey. You will notice Apapang and Alang have crossed into Kenya... while Ahu continues to stay at the northern tip of Somalia. They are likely to stopover at Tsavo National Park in Kenya
Apapang (Orange tag)
The hero of the season.
6,100 km in 6 days 8 hours nonstop.
A single unbroken arc across continents.
Alang (Yellow tag)
The youngest with incredible grit.
5,600 km in 6 days 14 hours, including a night halt in Telangana and a 3-hour breather in Maharashtra before powering towards the Arabian Sea.
Ahu (Red tag)
steady and strong.
5,100 km in 5 days 14 hours, with a night pause in western Bangladesh before joining the great transoceanic push. (Her distance is lower because she took a more northerly and relatively shorter route to Somalia.)
Together, they embody the raw beauty of migration, precision, instinct, wind, stamina, and courage.
What a season ! What a journey ! As told by @SureshWII @wii_india to @supriyasahuias #AmurFalconMigration
Woohoo .. both Apapang and Alang have successfully crossed over, while Ahu is just about to reach...three Amurs, one breathtaking migration and a million people watching in awe ..@sureshwii #AmurFalconMigration
