🔴 GAZA | A limited reopening of the Rafah crossing has done little to save Gaza’s patients, as children continue to die waiting for medical evacuation, Palestine Online reports. 7-year-old Anwar Al-Ashi died of kidney failure yesterday, the same day the crossing was partially reopened after weeks of waiting for treatment unavailable in Gaza.
His family had hoped he would be allowed to travel, but only a handful of patients were permitted to leave. Doctors note evacuation lists have been slashed from 50 patients a day to as few as five, creating what health officials call a “slow death sentence.”
Gaza’s Health Ministry says more than 20,000 patients, including thousands of children and cancer cases, are awaiting treatment abroad, and over 1,268 patients on the list have died since Rafah was closed in May 2024 due to denied access to care.

Israel bombed the Al-Jaouni school in the Nuseirat refugee camp, killing at least 18 people, including 12 teachers working to support displaced families.
The attack, which also claimed the lives of six UNRWA staff members, marks the highest single-incident death toll among UNRWA workers in the ongoing 11-month genocide.
Witnesses described the scene as horrific, with women and children torn to pieces. This assault is not just on Gaza's people but a direct attack on its education system and those dedicated to serving the community.

Blessed to hear from a cousin in Gaza after months without communication.
He sent me photos from his quarter of the Old City, where much of the Christian community resides. Their lives have been devastated by the IDF onslaught. The people here are descendants of Canaanites and Israelites, and they’re determined not to be uprooted from their ancestral home, but they live each day fearing it may be their last.
Please continue to pray for the people of Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel. May the death and destruction, violence and hostage-taking come to an end. May they all live together in peace.
