PSA: OSINT is geolocating a tank from satellite imagery or scrubbing hundreds of public documents for relevant facts. SLOPINT (Scraped, Lifted, Other-people's Posts as INTelligence) involves scrolling some 400 follower account on social media, bookmarking or screenshotting their post, and filing it as your own reporting or throwing their content into a monetized youtube video. Two very different jobs.

For those following how Lockheed is doing since it took charges on both of its major classified programs, here is where things stand through September 2026: 🔸No additional reach-forward losses so far on either the Aeronautics or MFC (most likely AIM-260A JATM) classified/restricted programs. The loss pools are unchanged at $1.8B and $1.5B respectively 🔸The Aeronautics program has burned 78% of its pool. MFC has burned just 32% 🔸LM's latest filings note that MFC options have been exercised which is most certainly AIM-260A production contracts

I must admit to some degree of confusion about accusations that CENTCOM did not anticipate Iranian missile strikes. There has been plenty of reporting on moving C2 functions to CONUS before the war. There is a reason why CENTCOM HQ is in Tampa!

Just four months after Beehive Industries finalized requirements for the 100 lbf Frenzy 6 engine with its U.S. Air Force customer, the company has announced a successful engine test of the Frenzy 6 prototype. The engine is aimed at affordable propulsion for munitions, drones and UAVs. According to Beehive, the achievement builds directly on its April announcement of a $29.7 million USAF contract to advance development of the Frenzy engine family, and on the maturation of its 200 lbf Frenzy 8.

"Frenzy 6 takes all the great things about Frenzy 8 and packages them into a smaller form factor to help address the needs of smaller munitions, drones, and unmanned aerial vehicles,” said Gordie Follin, Chief Product Officer at Beehive Industries. “We are focused on helping to enable affordable mass for U.S. defense" beehive-industries.com/news/…

I can’t wait to see the senator enthusiastically support the supplemental and reconciliation funding pending before Congress that, among other things, expands production support for Patriot interceptors and other lower tier efforts. Delivery timelines don’t shorten themselves.
Disappointing catch to the announcement about interceptors going to Ukraine—delivery in a few years. Facing a hideously harsh winter & searing hardship from Russian bombs, Ukraine urgently needs air defense.

With the Future Interceptor OTA awarded, CAML should be next. Expect the Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher program to announce contracts as soon as today . It will ultimately house both offensive and defensive munitions, including IFPC and PAC-3 interceptors, GMLRS, PrSM and larger munitions depending on configuration. Medium, Heavy and light CAML variants are planned.
The @USArmy has awarded us a $1.1 billion development contract for testing and initial production of PAC-3 Edge™ under its Future Interceptor program. Building on proven PAC-3® MSE technology, PAC-3 Edge is designed to help soldiers stay ahead of evolving threats. Click below:

❗️Today, Russian forces struck a railway station platform in Dnipro, where a train carrying civilians was present. According to preliminary reports, 13 people have been killed and many others injured. Emergency services are working at the scene, providing assistance to those affected. These attacks are yet another horrific example of ongoing crimes against Ukraine and its people. My condolences to the families of those killed. I wish the injured a speedy recovery.

"The primary drivers of the additional reach-forward losses recognized Q2 2025 included: (1) software development performance degradation and integration findings observed over a continued period; (2) learnings in recent software and build experience on another program specifically relevant to the program; (3) significant changes in test plan resulting from customer discussions and changes in test execution strategy; (4)safety-critical and other necessary design and engineering changes in response to certain observed performance degradation and a discrete event; & (5) complete schedule realignment, including as a result of items (1) through (4) " ~ Lockheed Martin
