If I were one of the newly elected members of Congress, these would be my FOUR immediate legislative priorities to start fixing this country. Not another round of partisan nonsense. Actual structural reform.
1. ETHICS REFORM
A 100% ban on individual stock trading by members of Congress, the President, Cabinet officials, Supreme Court justices, and their immediate families. ZERO exceptions. You shouldn’t be able to personally profit from the laws you write, enforce, or interpret.
And a minimum two-year ban on taking jobs, consulting fees, or compensation from companies with conflicts of interest related to your public duties after leaving office.
Call it the “Kushner Rule” or “Kushner Act” for fun.
2. CONGRESSIONAL & SUPREME COURT TERM LIMITS
* House: 6 years maximum.
* Senate: 12 years maximum.
* Supreme Court: 18 years maximum.
Public service should be service, not a lifetime career. We need fresh perspectives, accountability, and an end to the permanent political class.
3. UNIVERSAL HEALTH INSURANCE & PERSONAL WEALTH BUILDING
Everyone deserves healthcare security from birth to death. I believe the best path is universal catastrophic health insurance combined with individually owned Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).
Imagine every American being born with three things: universal catastrophic health coverage, a funded HSA, and a Trump Account with immediate contributions.
Employers and individuals could contribute to HSAs, while public contributions could reward national service (military, Peace Corps, etc.) and support people with disabilities or other qualifying needs.
Unused HSA funds could eventually convert into tax-free retirement savings. Think about that: incentives for better health, personal savings, AND retirement security. A win-win-win.
Over generations, a properly funded system could potentially reduce our dependence on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid while giving Americans actual ownership of their financial futures.
And how do we fund it? Explore a national value-added tax (VAT), with major corporations and the AI-driven economy contributing to a system that benefits everyone.
4. ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT
Energy is a foundational cost of EVERYTHING. Electricity, fuel, food, manufacturing, transportation, housing. When energy costs rise, nearly everything gets more expensive.
We need massive investment in domestic energy production, particularly NUCLEAR ENERGY, alongside other practical technologies, a modernized electrical grid, and infrastructure designed for the enormous energy demands of the future.
Stop treating energy as another partisan football and start treating affordable, reliable energy as essential national infrastructure.
Fix these four foundational problems, and nearly everything else becomes easier to address.
Government corruption. Political stagnation. Healthcare insecurity. Retirement uncertainty. The cost of living.
These aren’t problems that belong exclusively to Republicans or Democrats. They’re American problems, and they deserve American solutions.
And until we start addressing the actual structure of these problems instead of endlessly fighting over their symptoms, the political pendulum will keep swinging back and forth.
Republicans win. Democrats win. Republicans win again. Meanwhile, the underlying problems remain.
Eventually, we’ll elect the right combination of people willing to make these changes.
I’d rather we stop wasting decades waiting for them. 🇺🇸

I hate to say this. I’ve been the last person in the world to want to push this button. But it’s time for Nebraska fans to go for the Nuclear Option.
The Ohio State game needs to be empty. Not one single thing about what happened tonight is acceptable.

The next 13 months goes something like this:
- eek out 6-6 or 7-5
- shitty bowl game
- Rhule fires Holgo
- New OC hired w/ a few assistants
- Offseason hype centered on new OC and recruits/portal
- Beat up on the MAC and FCS to feed hype
- collapse
- Dannon fired

Somewhere amongst the 86,097 people in attendance tonight, a young fan went to his first Nebraska game. His parents work 8-5 and saved up the money to buy the tickets, buy the special black Husker clothing, put gas in the car and drive to Lincoln. They paid good money to scream and holler and yell to support their beloved team—all in the pursuit of making a memory with their child.
While driving to the game, they sat in horrible traffic and construction all over Lincoln. While waiting to get to their seat, they stood in the concourse of Memorial Stadium attempting to pile through a gate section for 20 minutes. This all within a mass of fans that seemingly did not move.
Mid-game, when they wanted to use the restroom, they waited in line for another 20 minutes to piss in a running water trough that’s now auctioning for $3500 to help rebuild the stadium.
Indeed, they’re paying hard-earned and finite family resources for this experience.
At game’s end, and for the third game in a row, the experience was mired by a complete team collapse, brought to life by visibly terrified leadership and players dancing while losing on the sideline.
As fans exited, they launched garbage onto the field while storming out. This leaves the kid wondering, “is this all normal?”
This is not an experience to be proud of. And if this program and all of the tradition that *is worth being proud of* is to survive, there needs to be significant and immediate changes. This is all totally unacceptable.

Good morning, it will now be pitch black at 4:30 pm for the next five months in Nashville. Falling back is indefensibly stupid and should end forever.

A @BlackshirtMedia hype film, narrated by Burt Reynolds.
Saturday. Lincoln. All black.
Hey @SecRollins you are doing great! Don’t forget to add that you got the price of corn down 20% and wheat down 25% since July. Not to mention diesel fuel is up 70% and fertilizer up 20%. Keep up the good work! I’m going to tell my kids about the golden age of agriculture someday 🤝
AFFORDABILITY ALERT! 🇺🇸
THEN: Under Biden, prices for dairy products surged, with butter up 34.8%, milk up 24.3%, and American cheese up 20.6%! 📈
NOW: Under @POTUS, prices for ALL THREE are DOWN, with butter alone falling 19.4%! 📉
This is significant progress, but our work to make REAL food REAL affordable is far from finished. 💪

I’d MUCH RATHER you posted factual WASDE and crop production reports than give out money. $8 billion does not even BEGIN to touch the value that the USDA has stolen from agriculture.
Harvest relief for America’s farmers.
Today, @POTUS and @SecRollins announced the Harvest Fuel Relief Program — making $8 BILLION available for one-time payments to farmers facing higher costs and market disruptions.
Here’s what that means:
➡️ Payments to help cover a portion of estimated losses for the 2026 crop year.
➡️ Payment amounts based on planted acres, production costs, crop yields, and prices.
➡️ Row crop payment rates announced in November, with details for other eligible commodities to follow.
➡️ Application will be available online using a Login.gov account that is connected to USDA.

True, but… losing both games with 4th quarter leads is tough to swallow for a battered fan base. Not to mention, criticism of conservative play calling and game management is legitimate. Rhule should not be in charge of calling timeouts, imo. He’s not good at it. 🤦♂️

What would you rather watch, the Pop Tarts Bowl or the same matchup in an early-round CFP game with a natty at stake. Bravo, CFP.

(And yes, there are several other teams that have a very strong, logical case to be ranked. One of those weeks where I wish there were 30 slots, tbh.)

In this era, there will be very few consistent programs and linear rises. Fan bases will have to understand that 5-7 after 9-3 is normal. Just a transfer class not connecting or a few of the wrong guys leaving. Doesn't mean you've lost it. This is CFB now. Stinks. But this is it.
This quote from #Illini head coach Bret Bielema after the loss to Purdue stood out to me.
"It's just been one of those years, man. Going back to last spring, fall camp, it just seems like we're a group that really has to learn things the hard way."
It's entirely possible he just meant because its a group with so many new faces from a year ago, but it almost seems like Coach B knew some time ago that this team might have struggles.
We'll hear from Bielema again on Monday in his usual weekly press conference.

Once your team is eliminated from the 12-team CFP discussion, people first get angry, then eventually apathetic.
When the end goal was reaching a high-level bowl game or winning a conference title, it didn’t get this way this early.
