One of the most fascinating things about being alive is knowing that we had ancestors who braved adversity and refused to quit, giving us the opportunity to be here today. For all we know, surviving might’ve been the only thing they did their entire lives.
Well done, Brazil! Meanwhile, Jamaican authorities complain about declining birth rates, low GDP per capita and low labour force participation. Yet we continue to overlook the economic and demographic potential of welcoming Haitian migrants.
Not a gamer but this GTA 6 anticipation seems real.

People on IG asking if the government will reimburse citizens who spent their savings to fix their homes after the hurricane. At what point did we get like this? Where did this sense of entitlement come from?
I agree two things can be right. Beenie Man’s statement was inaccurate and egregious and Andrew Holness was wrong and petty for that; I must add that was very rare for the prime minister as well. He usually takes the high road.
Two years ago, Andrew Holness handed Beenie Man an award at the Independence Grand Gala for what he's done for Jamaica.
Now he calls him "someone who benefits from Brand Jamaica."
I'm not even a Beenie Man fan. But I'm not pretending the 90s and early 2000s didn't happen.
Beenie Man didn't come from Brand Jamaica. Brand Jamaica came from Beenie Man.
Tell someone overseas you're Jamaican. What do they think of? Bob Marley. Reggae. Usain Bolt. Jerk chicken. The accent.
Take the people out. What's left? Beaches. Every island has beaches.
So yes, protect Brand Jamaica. But know what you're protecting. It's not the flag. It's the people who made the world care about the flag.
Think what Beenie said was wrong? Fair. Argue that. But "he benefits from the brand" doesn't answer his point. It really attacks his right to make it.
You don't benefit from the brand. You are the brand.
That's where I stand. Where do you stand?

We need action. #onpoli
