Looking at this race, I think you will want to be up on the speed. A lot of these horses are returning from layoffs and will likely have other targets in mind later in the season.
In this race, I've had a fair bet on Colour Up, who should be ready to go and has a very good record when fresh. He's a course and distance winner and has an excellent record returning from a break:
2022: Returned from 237 days off and finished runner-up over 7f, which is not his ideal trip.
2023: Returned from a 279-day break and won a Listed event.
2024: Returned from 251 days off and finished runner-up.
2025: Returned from 223 days off and again finished runner-up.
He's very much a horse to catch fresh and should go very close here. This is my biggest bet on the card.
