A big thanks to everyone who has supported me in my campaign to be Exeter's next Labour candidate. It's been rewarding speaking to members in Exeter over past weeks & hear their priorities. I look forward to making my case to you at tomorrow's selection meeting!

Good to spend time speaking with UNISON Devon branch sec @ryles65 today about issues affecting Devon County Council staff & services. Not least a large predicted budget overspend; a poor Ofsted report on lack of improvement in SEND provision, ; & impact of cost of living crisis.

We all know we are facing a #HousingCrisis, nationally, in the South West, and in #Exeter. People can't afford to live where they grew up. The next #Labour government must commit to a strong home building programme.

It's great to have the endorsement from my friend @Dylan4Compton to be the next #Labour MP for Exeter. He is a brilliant and hard working local Cllr.

Thank you to my friend @JayneKirkham4 for her support for my campaign to be Exeter's next Labour candidate. She's a leader in our region as Leader of the Labour Group on Cornwall Council & as the next Labour MP for Truro & Falmouth, & knows what it takes to succeed here.

Public services are in my DNA. The next #Labour government must reinvest in services to ensure all people can reach their full potential.

Thank you to UNISON General Secretary @cmcanea for her backing of me to be Exeter's next Labour Parliamentary Candidate. Christina is an inspirational leader of my union & the UK's biggest @unisontheunion - & I think she's brilliant. So genuinely thrilled to have her support!

I'm really grateful to now have the full support of the @SWRegionCWU for my campaign to be the next Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Exeter. As a senior trade unionist in our region I'm happy to stand side by side with CWU members in their live campaigns on pay.

I'm absolutely clear that the next #Labour government needs to embrace the potential of a #GreenNewDeal. If I am selected to run as your next Labour MP for Exeter I will fight to make this happen.

Good to be out today supporting @RMTunion members on behalf of @UNISONSW at Exeter St David's station as they continue their struggle. I've taken part in industrial action. It's not easy, & at time I drew strength from #Solidarity of other unions in our. Happy to pay that back.

I'm keen to talk about the issues I will prioritise if I am selected to run as Exeter's Labour MP. A #GreenNewDeal, the #HousingCrisis, #PublicServices. Firstly, a bit about who I am as a candidate and why I'm standing.
