🎟️ Asking this of councillors, MPs and MSPs (representing Edinburgh and beyond) out of sheer curiosity. Did you buy at least one ticket for Edinburgh’s festivals last month. If so, what did you go to? 🎟️

HOW THIS WORKS @ScotGovFM @culturescotgov @AngusRobertson Both #LoveBeyond by @rameshmeyyappan and #LoveTheSinner by @imogen_stirling started from the OPEN FUND FOR INDIVIDUALS. Both then had full scale productions @traversetheatre and @TronTheatre ... 1/6

You don’t get to celebrate talent in Scotland whilst wrecking an already fragile cultural landscape via Creative Scotland cuts and budget chaos. You can’t have it both ways
Congrats to the Rising Stars Scotland 2024 announced by Screen Scotland and Screen International. The next generation of Scottish filmmakers and actors is hugely talented. Details via @screenscots screen.scot/news/2024/august… 🎬🎥🏴
While I'm a massive fan of @CreativeScots and their support : £8,695m in salaries seems wild for any arts organisation. Who is the outside eye to CS' operations and how can the arts body be streamlined to ensure as much of the Arts budget can be spent on art?

This means a huge amount. Polka’s team work so hard, and this nomination is for all our team, volunteers, young voices, artists, audiences and community who are all awesome - our doors are open to everyone - so delighted to be nominated 🥳🥰

Glasgow pals! Yesterday while at en event in Edinburgh someone stole my bike from Glasgow Queen Street Station.
It's a Mongoose Women's Mountain bike 1, teal color and there's a white stain on each tire. If you see it around or being sold 😡pls share!
Just re read 'Square Go' by @kieran_hurley and @TheGaryMcNair before seeing 'VL' @Summerhallery during the fringe. It truly is exceptional. Hilarious, heartbreaking and hopeful. Can't wait to see what these wee VLs get up to this time. Buy tickets! tickets.edfringe.com/whats-o…

I've opened my DM's for this one!
I was wondering if anyone knows of any empty spaces or offices that could do with some cultural tenants.
Noticing a trend of more and more vacant spaces in Glasgow city centre and @wonder_fools would love to do some good with them.
Plz RT.

Show me you have no understanding of the Hate Crimes Act (which can ONLY aggravate things that are offences ALREADY) while denouncing the Hates Crimes "bill."
🗣️ "I can guarantee you, next Sunday at Ibrox, I, along with 48,000 will be committing a breach of that hate bill."

OK, can anyone explain to me why we are having so much high-profile, detailed criticism of the Hate Crime Act this week, when it is about to be implemented, & not during the long period when it was under consideration at Holyrood. Were people & orgs unaware of it? Or what? – at Glasgow, Scotland

Hey! "Don't. Make.Tea." @sohotheatre is fantastic! My 2nd @BOPTheatre show (1st was Wendy Hoos) and another smash hit. Disability in the foreground, accessible to all, savage, funny, surreal, get to it if you can!
