Two ways to be in this market.
You research what other people already think, and you inherit their conclusion. Or you check the design yourself, because you trust your own read.
Most of the timeline is doing the first. A quote, a chart, a thread, and the take arrives pre-built. Confidence gets outsourced. If the crowd says the chain is ahead, the record stops counting.
The other way is slower. Read the docs. Read who can halt it, who can freeze it, who gets paid. Then decide. That is not arrogance. That is the only read that is yours.
Companies are objecting to OKX-ICE tokenized stocks for the exact reasons Iβve flagged: third-party tokenization of equities without issuer consent.
The venue runs permissioned Uniswap v4 pools on XLayer (ETH L2). Shares sit with a broker-dealer; tokens trade 24/7 against stablecoins. Issuers get no control over minting, freezes, corporate actions, or market impact.
Thatβs the problem with treating stocks as DeFi-style claims on someone elseβs chain. Price, liquidity, volatility, and shareholder rights can shift without the companyβs say. SIPC coverage for self-custodied tokens is unclear. No endorsement, no clear benefit.
Issued assets need issuer-level controls (freeze, clawback, compliance gates, legal alignment). The bridge asset itself should not be freezable. XRPL was built for that split: MPTs carry the compliance tools; XRP stays neutral.
This isnβt βanti-tokenization.β Itβs issuers refusing an unauthorized parallel market. Control, legal claim, and governance still matter.

Franklin Templetonβs clients are institutions, RIAs, wealth managers, and family offices the same people buying BlackRockβs Bitcoin ETF. Goldman and other firms have already disclosed XRP ETF positions in 13Fs. Calling it βjust investors buying ETFsβ so it doesnβt count as institutional is pure cope. The <2% of supply is true, but that doesnβt magically turn a Franklin product into retail degen bags. The hype around XRP is real, but so is the vehicle youβre pretending isnβt institutional.

Cape Verde is building its new inclusive instant payment system (STII / SPEED) on Mojaloop.
On January 28, 2026, the Banco de Cabo Verde held the implementation-phase kickoff workshop in Praia with partners AfricaNenda and ThitsaWorks. The pilot with four banks had already been completed successfully by the end of 2025.
This is a small country that does not have the resources to build a full modern real-time payment stack from scratch. Mojaloop is the open-source assistance layer that makes it possible designed for inclusion, interoperable by default, and able to work even in low-connectivity environments.
What weβre seeing across multiple markets is the same pattern:
Domestic 24/7 RTP systems going live first, settling against existing RTGS infrastructure.
Once those domestic rails exist and can speak a common protocol (Mojaloop uses Interledger for its messaging), the remaining friction is cross-border final settlement. That is the layer where seamless value transfer becomes possible without relying solely on pre-funded fiat nostro accounts.
Cabo Verde is currently still in the domestic build phase. The infrastructure being stood up keeps the door open for the next step.
Small markets adopting open, Interledger-based rails are part of the quiet groundwork.
I DO NOT INFLUENCE I INFORM
Cape Verde is rolling out SPEED its new inclusive instant payment system on Mojaloop.
Mojaloop is the open-source interoperability layer built with early technical input from Ripple.
Ripple has been a Sponsor member of the Mojaloop Foundation since 2020. Mojaloop uses the Interledger Protocol (ILP) co-developed by Ripple for secure messaging and non-repudiation.
Domestic real-time rails in emerging markets + Interledger interoperability infrastructure.
Thatβs the quiet plumbing connecting local instant payments to a global Internet of Value.

Just a quick reminder that XRP is obviously a scam.
Hereβs the proof:
β’ Bitwise XRP ETF: 417 million XRP
β’ Franklin XRPZ: 306 million XRP
β’ Canary XRPC: 243 million XRP
β’ 21Shares TOXR: 107 million XRP
β’ Grayscale GXRP: 65 million XRP
β’ REX-Osprey XRPR: ~20 million XRP
Total across U.S. spot products: ~1.15 billion XRP locked up by institutions who clearly have no idea what theyβre doing.
Even @evernorthxrp is in on it. Classic scam behavior. Nothing to see here. Move along.

A PILOT is a limited, controlled test of a new process or technology under real conditions, but with deliberate restrictions on volume, participants, duration, and risk. It exists to answer specific questions about integration, controls, costs, and compliance. It is not a pre-launch that automatically becomes production once REGULATUON arrives. Many pilots stay narrow or end after the test. Production is the later decision to run material volume on it. Banks run them in parallel across multiple systems so they can evaluate fit.
The common assumption right now is that Ethereum (or EVM-based systems) will run everything at the institutional layer and that XRP is behind because most visible activity is still on controlled or Ethereum-linked infrastructure. That reading skips what the actual pilots show about functionality.
JPMorganβs May 2026 transaction with Ondo, Mastercard, and Ripple used the XRP Ledger for the tokenized Treasury redemption leg. Settlement on XRPL completed in under five seconds, outside normal banking hours, while the cash leg stayed on JPMorganβs existing Kinexys and banking rails. The asset was already issued on XRPL, but the choice of that ledger for a cross-border, multi-institution interoperability test with a major bank and card network was driven by its native design: fast finality, extremely low cost, and payments-oriented architecture rather than a general-purpose smart-contract environment. Kinexys itself remains on permissioned Quorum/EVM infrastructure and has scaled multi-trillion cumulative volume on systems the bank controls. That does not make the XRPL selection irrelevant. It shows institutions are willing to use a public ledger specifically built for high-speed, low-friction settlement when that is the requirement for the asset leg.
Other chains (Stellar, Hedera, and various interoperability layers) have also run pilots. Those tests are not interchangeable. XRPLβs selection in this case for a tokenized asset redemption integrated with JPMorgan and Mastercard rails points to its functional advantages for settlement and cross-border flows, not to it being the lagging option. Regulatory clarity will change risk calculations and let institutions choose more freely among the options they have already tested. It does not erase the design differences that led to XRPL being used for that specific institutional workflow.
Pilot β production. Test β commitment. The repeated selection of a ledger built for settlement speed and cost, when the requirement is exactly that, is still information. Words still mean things.
