At the #UN Security Council Open Debate on WPS, DPR @Gyanmagarmofa underscored the imperative of women’s full, equal and meaningful participation in peace processes and decision-making space. Highlighting Nepal’s commitment to and progress on gender equality, empowerment and advancement of WPS agenda, he emphasized the need to strengthen protection, justice and accountability; address root causes of conflict; advance women’s peacebuilding leadership, ensure effective implementation of the National Action Plan on WPS, and harness technology to promote digital inclusion and online safety, particularly in fragile settings.
