People keep saying stablecoins will be worth $2–4 trillion soon and move $100 trillion every year. Sounds huge right? Actually, it is, but there’s a problem most people ignore. That future cannot happen on transparent blockchains. Right now, stablecoins are mostly used for: •trading •DeFi •speculation Even if crypto grows a lot, that market caps out around $500B. To reach trillions, stablecoins must be used for real-world money flows, like: •company treasuries •business-to-business payments •payroll •cross-border transfers •merchant settlements Here’s the issue: No company will move serious money on a chain where everyone can see everything. •CFOs won’t expose treasury balances •Businesses won’t reveal suppliers and payments •Employees won’t accept public salaries •Users won’t broadcast remittances So when analysts predict trillions, what they’re really assuming is this: “Stablecoins will grow once privacy exists.” That’s the missing piece. Regulation already showed this effect. When Europe clarified stablecoin rules (MiCA), the market rebounded fast. Clarity unlocked growth. But regulation alone isn’t enough.
