Ten million people have watched a comedian accidentally destroy the entire TED talk industry.
He filmed the talk once at TEDxNewYork in 2014 and openly admitted he had nothing to say.
Speaking coaches charge $5,000 to teach the exact tricks he used in 6 minutes to say nothing at all.
His name is Will Stephen. He is a comedian from Late Night with Seth Meyers who was invited to give a real TED talk and used it to prove the format is a costume anyone can wear.
Every TED speaker opens with a question, tells a personal story, cites a scientist, and shows a chart. Stephen did all four in six minutes with zero content.
His entire formula fits on a napkin.
Gesture with both hands. Ask the audience a question anyone can answer. Tell a mildly embarrassing story so they say aww. Point to a stranger on a slide and call them important. Flash a chart of random numbers. Wear glasses with no lenses. The audience will think you are brilliant.
That last trick alone has probably cost the public speaking coaching industry a hundred million dollars in sessions clients should have skipped.
"If you watched me on YouTube with the sound off, you would think I was a genius."
That is Will Stephen on the TED stage, three minutes into the talk he was paid to give. He wasn't lying.
Executives pay $15,000 for a keynote coach and still open with a joke the room never laughs at. Founders rehearse their pitch for weeks and still sound like Stephen at minute four, saying "wagga wah, gabba gabba" with authority.
The talk is free on YouTube. The method is written across every TED speaker's playbook for ten years.
Stephen still writes for Seth Meyers. Almost none of the ten million viewers have stopped nodding at empty slides since.
The formula is free. The willingness to actually say something before your next keynote, pitch, or townhall is the entire edge.

Good afternoon @Starknet fam ☕️
18 years later, my favorite part of the whitepaper is the one people skip: the privacy section.
Satoshi's advice was to use a new key pair for each transaction, so no single public key gets tied to an owner.
That one line connects to a problem we talk about today:
❌ Reuse an address and your public key sits onchain for good
✅ Rotate keys and each one is exposed far less.
→ Bitcoin's signatures rest on elliptic-curve math, which a big enough quantum computer could target
→ Public keys already published are the ones most exposed
→ Changing the scheme on Bitcoin means changing the protocol, and everyone has to move together.
@Starknet takes a different route: accounts are smart contracts, so their signature rules live in code and can be swapped without a fork. Preparing, not finished, and still being optimized.

Great whitepaper, and worth reading properly. Which section do you think aged best: the incentives, the privacy model, or the signatures?
18 years ago today, Satoshi published the Bitcoin whitepaper.

Happy new month @quipnetwork fam ☕️
New month. Let me take stock of where Quip actually stands on November 1st.
Since April, here's what has happened on this network:
→ A D-Wave quantum computer started winning blocks on a live chain
→ New Scientist covered it, and D-Wave gave it a full podcast episode
→ 1,930 blind portfolio races ran at Quantum.Tech World, and the classical solver never produced a better portfolio
→ Dr. @rcarback took post-quantum transactions to Ethereum Security Day
→ The Eigen Key auction and the Quantum Echo mint turned points into real utility
And the token still isn't live.
That's the part I keep coming back to. Most projects launch first and try to earn credibility afterward. @quipnetwork is doing it in the opposite order.
My honest opinion: the projects that matter in five years are rarely the loudest ones in month six. They're the ones whose evidence keeps stacking up while everyone else is looking elsewhere.
I'm not saying it's risk-free. Pre-TGE always carries uncertainty. But I'd rather hold a thesis that gets stronger every month than one that depends on hype to survive.
The airdrop is still open: quest.quip.network/airdrop
What was the moment this year when @quipnetwork clicked for you?

Coffee time with @zerufinance ☕️
The first line says it better than most whitepapers: an ecosystem isn't built by token holders alone.
Think about who actually keeps a network alive:
→ Traders bring the market activity
→ Liquidity providers make the markets usable
→ Users interact with the protocols
→ Contributors build over time
Now look at how most launches decide who gets in: connections and click speed. @zerufinance names both in the second tweet, and they match what the launch data has shown. Insiders get supply early, and snipers win on speed. Neither one is a contribution.
❌ Launch access goes to whoever is closest to the team or fastest on the button
✅ Launch access goes to the people who already built the community.
That's why ActivityFi interests me. Memes that spawn from the proof-of-activity of existing onchain communities flip the order. The community comes first and the token follows, instead of a token looking for a community.
▶️ My honest view is that this is the first launch model I've seen that tries to reward contribution before the pump. It's live now, so the real test starts: whether miner and creator rights actually go to the people who earned them, and whether traders decide what a market is worth without insiders dominating again.
▶️ A fair question I'd put to the team: how do you weigh a trader, a liquidity provider and a builder against each other? Those aren't equal kinds of contribution, and the weighting will decide who feels rewarded.
▶️ Which kind of contribution do you think should count most for earning a place in a launch: trading, liquidity, usage or building?

Good afternoon @Starknet ☕️
My take for this subject 👇 : the quantum question for a chain isn't "is your crypto strong today?" It's "how many people have to agree before you can change it?"
❌ Ethereum/Bitcoin model: your account is your key, so changing the signature scheme means changing the protocol, plus a coordinated migration.
✅ @Starknet model: every account is a smart contract, so the signature rules live in code and can be swapped.
→ __validate__ checks the signature in whatever format the account chooses.
→ replace_class swaps the account's logic while its address, balances and history stay in place.
→ No fork, and the owner sets the timeline
The Quantum Hub's comparison shows evidence for all 8 capabilities on Starknet, vs 3 for Ethereum. Account change is the one no other network has.
▶️ Where it really stands: Falcon-512 accounts are demos and early, unaudited work. Post-quantum signatures also still cost more, and optimisation is ongoing. Preparing, not finished. The capability count also doesn't establish complete quantum resistance.
Source and methodology: quantum.starkware.co/ (checked October 31st 2026)
▶️ Do you think the chains that adapt fastest will win, or the ones with the strongest crypto today?

Good morning @zerufinance fam☕️
▶️ This is the question every rewards campaign should have to answer, including the ones I take part in.
Look at the list @zerufinance wrote: volume, liquidity, usage, referrals, attention. Each one measures participation, and each one can be faked.
→ Volume gets wash traded, and Bitquery flagged 58.4% of the Solana DEX volume it indexed as non-genuine.
→ Attention gets botted
→ Referrals get farmed with linked wallets
→ Early access goes to bundles, as 16.2% of launches in Zeru's sample showed.
❌ Reward whoever shows up and makes the most noise.
✅ Reward whoever has a verified history of real activity.
▶️ That's what Activity Markets are trying to do, and I think it's the right question. From what I've seen on the Zaps page, zETH is described as a meme coin earned by doing Ethereum activity, with no dev bag, and your past activity counts. Registration is open.
My honest view: the idea is stronger than any single campaign, because it moves the filter before the reward instead of after the damage. Even the Aspen competition removes self-trades, wash trades and wallets funded from one source.
But "verified" is doing a lot of work here. A filter that's too strict shuts out real newcomers, and one that's too loose lets farmers through. I'm watching how they handle that line, and I'll say so if it fails.
▶️ Would you trade a bit of upside for a market where your place depends on what you've really done onchain?
Crypto has spent years rewarding participation.
Trading volume.
Liquidity.
Protocol usage.
Referrals.
Social attention.
But how much of it reflects genuine contribution?
Volume can be wash traded. Attention can be botted.
Activity Markets looks at verified onchain activity to determine who earns miner/creator rights.

Good morning @quipnetwork ☕️
Quests and Mindshare wrap up Nov 2 at 13:00 UTC, with the final points distribution. 🏁
Here's what that means for you:
→ Your final totals will show on quest.quip.network and mindshare.quip.network, and later in the unified app once it opens.
→ Nothing you've earned gets diluted. Each campaign has its own $QUIP allocation from the 10% community pool, so the current Quip Points campaign doesn't take from earlier ones.
→ You can keep earning through @quipnetwork Points until mainnet: daily sign-ins, holding value in a Quip account, running a node, referrals, swaps.
I've been in this since early on, and what stands out to me is how much of the network got tested in the open by the community. People explained post-quantum to others who'd never heard of a qubit. That counts for a lot.
Next up is the chain audit, then mainnet, then TGE.
Quests and Mindshare campaigns will conclude Nov 2 at 13:00 UTC, alongside the final points distribution 🏁
Thanks for your patience while we coordinated the timing.

Good morning @zerufinance family ☕️
Good timing on this one, and I don't think it's a coincidence.
The same week the biggest exchange hack on record happened, billions moved out of hot wallets. @zerufinance now lets you connect a hot wallet through delegate(dot)xyz while your vault stays cold.
What I like:
→ Your cold wallet never signs on Zaps
→ Its history, zaps and zScore still count toward your account
→ In the demo, linking one wallet brought +2,450 zaps with it.
❌ Connect your main vault to every app to get credit for your history
✅ Use a hot wallet, keep the vault offline, still get scored.
It also removes a quiet trade-off. Most people with serious holdings skip these apps because connecting the vault feels unsafe. Now their full onchain history, which is the most valuable signal for a behavior-based score, can count.
🚨My caution: delegation is a permission, not a magic shield. Check what you're delegating, and don't treat it as safe for anything beyond what this feature is for. And a hack like Binance's is a reminder that custody is the weak point, not the idea of onchain history.
▶️ I also noticed Zaps now shows Activity Markets as live, with zETH open for registration. A tool that lets bigger wallets participate safely matters more once real markets open.
▶️ Would you connect a delegated hot wallet to an app like this, or do you still keep your vault completely off every site?

Good morning @quipnetwork ☕️
The Quip conversation doesn't stop on X.
The most useful things I've learned about this project didn't come from timelines. They came from the Discord.
That's where the announcements land first. The Eigen Key auction details, the mint updates and the AMA schedule all hit there before they hit anywhere else.
It's also where node operators compare setups, where people who just found @quipnetwork ask the questions they're too shy to ask publicly, and where the team actually answers.
→ Real announcements, straight from the team
→ Node operators sharing what works and what breaks
→ Newcomers getting real answers instead of hype
→ A community that came for the quantum thesis and stayed for the people
X is where you find the project. Discord is where you become part of it.
If you've been reading these threads for weeks and haven't joined yet, you're missing the room where most of the real conversation happens.
What's the one question you'd want answered by the @quipnetwork community?
Observation recommended 🎧
Replay from this morning's AMA with @cadillion, @rcarback, @megamanispeaks, and @rdyplayerB.
If you're not already in, join us on Discord for more Q&As, camaraderie with other Quippers, and maybe even a little alpha.
