hi, hello: yahoo writer here!
for whatever it’s worth, neither of these pieces were written by anyone at yahoo.
the site houses a lot of work from other places (you’ll see links from The Athletic, for example) and I think this is an unfortunate case of nonsense — and it *is* nonsense — slipping through.
I’ve sent these over & I think they’re in the process of being removed from the site.
I'm shocked that a crown jewel sporting event on ESPN is about to be marred by a contract dispute. Shocked. Can't believe it.
Hasn't happened in 3, maybe 4 full years.
ESPN 'reluctant' to resume talks with Aikman over cost-cutting, Buck rift, per latest in-depth report on "MNF" booth: sportsmediawatch.com/2026/10…
Alright I’m just gonna ask a horrible NBA question…
Should OKC trade dump picks into a trade for Kawhi and put him on lite-ice until the playoffs?
If you're Toronto, what's the goal for Kawhi in the lead-up to the playoffs? Get him to play 30 games with the team? 40? Do you rest him for the last few weeks of the season, to keep him fresh?
Right now @OmarJimenez is on a Battleground Roadtrip -- and he's gonna be streaming the whole thing live, for the next six days. Check him out here: youtube.com/live/A5W7d_qCyMk
For all the complaints I see on here about flopping, baiting, merchant-izing, and whining -- I better not see any of you ALSO complaining Lendeborg for saying the exact same thing... but naming names, and being blunt about it.
Yaxel Lendeborg on what he and Luka Doncic were going back and forth about:
“I was telling him he sucks. He can’t score on me. You talking, you can’t score on me. I said it the whole game. I said a couple cuss words obviously, you know, that’s why I got the technical and all that. But I was letting him know because he was laughing and talking all this because of that one foul call, and his only bucket was a banker from half court. Like, I know that it’s a team sport. He had 28 on us as a team. Me, I took my matchup personally. Tried not to get caught on the fouls. Tried my best. I was thinking about playing him with my hands behind my back to see if that worked. Probably would have still got a foul call. But, you know, interesting.”
You guys would have hated watching Michael Jordan

I don’t think I’ll ever love an NBA opening day commercial more than this 2016 ESPN on NBA commercial with Chance the Rapper. This shit really gets me emotional. What a beautiful sport. Happy opening day yall
Najee is 29 next season - a full two years from his Achilles injury - he'll likely have a little more burst, and could make a steady rb 2/3 on a team. Right now he looks a little slow.
