Skies will become milky-hazy beginning this afternoon and thicken overnight due to wildfire smoke once again (moving in from the northwest). Air quality will gradually worsen as the day progresses, especially overnight and Sunday. #ilwx

Check out the extensive smoke coverage from Canadian wildfires that continues to move south this morning. Skies will likely remain hazy-milky in Joliet the next few days because of the smoke. #ilwx #wildfires

1/2 As many of you already know, our head coach, Jared Williamson was involved in a serious car accident following our game vs Missouri Baptist on October 8th.  He was hit by a drunk driver and sustained multiple fractures throughout his body. gofundme.com/f/jared-aka-coa… – at Arlington Heights, IL

TORNADO WATCH has been issued for Will County until 11:00pm. The atmosphere is very unstable and given the frontal boundary over northern Illinois storms that develop could quickly become severe. Threats include damaging winds, hail, dangerous lightning and a few tornadoes. #ilwx

As of noon partial sunshine is clearly shown on satellite across west central Illinois. The cold front remains well to the west but a few boundaries are developing ahead of it. Look for storm genesis in this area within the next few hours and move east. #ilwx
