Incase you haven't discovered this delightful reality yet: @Nick_Offerman has narrated a bunch of Wendell Berry and Mark Twain on Audible. This is my bugout plan from now until November 4.

Reading a book in public is only performative to people that don’t read books. To a reader, every waiting room, park bench, train carriage, airport gate, and café table is another potential chapter.

Well done everyone at Theatre by the Lake on Keswick who have adapted Helen’s book and brought it to the stage.
Brilliant group of people, telling story about what farmers go through.

Wish I had discovered sooner: Nick Offerman narrating Wendell Berry audiobooks is a delicious soundtrack for long runs. The rage of loss of our nurturing society to extraction of ruling classes will fuel my new marathon personal best.

Currently listening to @Nick_Offerman's narration of Wendell Berry's
'The Unsettling of America'
and it is a powerful experience.

Today Kash Patel backed Trump's claim Dems can only win by cheating by citing "the Russiagate hoax." This is BS. It was no hoax—as my new book, HOW RUSSIA WON, demonstrates. It's the full story of Putin's war on America & Trump's (and Patel's) complicity

Barbara Kingsolver Remembers Wendell Berry - The New York Times nytimes.com/2026/09/04/books…
Episode recorded a few days before Wendell Berry left us but goddamn if it isn’t chock full of him anyway.
Please keep an eye out for this beautiful film about hopeful solutions to our broken food systems, despite my unattractive facial hair!

If you are wondering where to start on Wendell Berry, I might suggest these four books.
RIP Wendell you beautiful beanpole of a farmer poet king.
What a great time to celebrate our nation’s greatest writer by digging into The Unsettling of America or Hannah Coulter or send some love to @Berry_Center
You know who wrote a great essay about the late Wendell Berry? @Nick_Offerman in @outsidemagazine, that's who. outsideonline.com/culture/es…

I was amazed he wasn’t more widely read here
Then my editor Chloe published his poetry and I think I’m right in saying it sold more copies than almost any other poetry book that year
The World Ending Fire is a wonderful essay collection from @PenguinUKBooks
Replying to @herdyshepherd1
Thank you, James, for popularising his work and words over here in Britain through your own writing and the way you farm.
I feel a great sadness for all that we have lost with his passing and the gaping hole there now is in terms of agrarianism.

One of the great privileges of my life will forever be knowing Wendell, his family & place. “Its hardship is its possibility.”

My biggest regret is that Wendell was getting old and wasn’t keen to travel so much.
I wanted to show him our farm and what he had partly inspired with his land ethic.
A great man.
If you haven’t buy and read The World Ending Fire the @PenguinUKBooks collection of his essays.
