🚨 New Composition!
Been working on this one over the week. This whole month I’ve been diving into all of the minor scales. I love the spooky sound they give and it’s very fitting for the month of October.
What kind of vibes does this give you?
🎃 I’m sticking with my Minor Scale theme for October! 🎹👻
Here’s another track I’ve been working on that gives me major Halloween vibes. 🦇
How does this one make you feel? Spooky, mysterious, or something else? 🎶

🚨 Original Composition: Memories Compromised
They don’t steal the whole memory. Just the part that tells you it was yours.
Just curious @grok. If plastic were never invented, what would the world look like?

"The Memory Remains" marked the first time Metallica featured a guest vocalist on one of their studio albums. James Hetfield originally had no lyrics for the song's haunting "la la la" section, which began as a placeholder. The idea eventually evolved into a character inspired by Sunset Boulevard: a forgotten star driven almost insane by the loss of her former fame. When the band decided that the part needed an older female voice, producer Bob Rock suggested Marianne Faithfull, whose weathered voice perfectly captured the atmosphere they wanted.
Faithfull recorded her vocals in Dublin while Metallica were on tour in Europe, adding the distinctive backing vocals that became one of the song's most recognisable elements. "The Memory Remains" was released in 1997 as the lead single from Reload, reaching No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 3 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, and No. 13 on the UK Singles Chart. The song's demo, simply titled "Memory," had been recorded at Lars Ulrich's home studio as early as 1995.
🎶 “I Have a Girlfriend and She Is So Blue” 💙😂 If you know, you KNOW!

Studio notes — Tuesday, October 27
Today I'm starting something new: studio notes. I'll try to write one every weekday, about my impressions, what I'm creating and working on, maybe some techniques, and reflections and questions about the creative process.
This morning I worked a lot on My Second Guess, trying to finish some projects that were already well along. I'm really happy with what's coming: interesting pieces, a little melancholic. I can't wait to share them.
I've also been working a lot on my YouTube channel lately, making mixes and Eurorack modular versions of existing pieces. It's something I really want to keep growing, so come see me there too.
Looking forward to having you along for these studio notes.
🎶 What song makes you INSTANTLY reach for the volume button? 🔊
You know the one… no matter how loud it already is, you just HAVE to turn it up another notch! 😤🔥
What’s your song? 👇
Has anyone noticed that @elonmusk has been an X plus member since Dec of 1969.
The year we landed on the moon.
I love those little Easter Eggs.
🎸 “Vicinity of Obscenity,” you say?! Any System of a Down fans here? 🤘🔥
I filmed a bunch of System of a Down covers years ago, and it’s been a blast revisiting them! SOAD has always been one of my favorite bands, and John Dolmayan is an absolute beast behind the drums. 🥁
Who else loves System of a Down? What’s your favorite song? 👇
If we’re living in the Matrix… are you awake like Morpheus searching for The One, or are you Neo and you just don’t know it yet? 👀🕶️
