Discovered that MGS2 has unused surface types for snow and flour. I was able to get them working in the sandbox, albeit untextured. Left is water, center is snow, right is flour. Neat!

This is the first ever completely custom VR Mission for Metal Gear Solid 2. It took about a month to get it working and it's not much to look at, but everything, including scoring, is functional. Whew!

I think a lot of people are over-fixating on "better video game" while glossing over the "worse art" part. What I mean by that is that I think it's more gamified, more ludic than the original. You could almost say it's "Silent Hill 2: The Video Game Adaptation" in a sense.

That being said, I was far more impressed by the remake than I was expecting to be. I am generally very averse to remakes, but I suspect that Bloober Team is going to knock SH1 out of the park.
