I attended benediction yesterday for the first time in a long while. When my day started, I didn’t know I’ll be going to church at all. I wanted to, but I didn’t know where to go. Then I remembered that mine is a global church and we have parishes everywhere in the world. So I googled “catholic churches near me” and found St. Anthony at Gbaja Street, Surulere. They even have a well put together website on which I found out that there’s a 6PM mass. Immediately took a bath, ordered a ride and off I went- walked straight into a benediction service.
When the choir tuned “Tantum Ergo, sacramento”, I had to summon all the toxic masculinity in me to prevent myself from breaking into tears
The choir at that parish absolutely killed the singing. Beautiful stuff!
