AITA for asking my sister not to use my stillborn daughter's name? My younger sister recently announced that she's pregnant with her first child. My entire family, myself included, has been overjoyed for her and her partner. She's now 20 weeks along and working through the long list of preparations for welcoming a baby girl. She lives at home with our mother, while I live interstate with my wife and our two young daughters. Some important background: my wife and I haven't had the easiest road to parenthood. We're blessed with the two children we have, but before our first successful pregnancy we suffered a devastating stillbirth that left us heartbroken. With the support of most of our family, we held a funeral to honor our little girl who never made it into the world. My sister didn't attend because of work commitments she "couldn't get out of," though she has since visited our daughter's grave.

It started with a broken promise. Robb Stark needed Walder Frey's bridge at the Twins to cross the river, so he agreed to marry one of Frey's daughters. Then he fell in love with Talisa and married her instead. Frey never forgot the insult.
Relive one of the most heartbreaking, shocking, and unforgettable moments in Game of Thrones. "The Lannisters send their regards."

My girlfriend stopped having sex with me to teach me a lesson, but three months later, she was the one crying when I finally explained what had changed. It started because I was always tired after work. I'd come home, kiss her forehead, eat whatever we had, and fall asleep. I thought I was doing nothing wrong. I was working hard, paying bills, and trying to build a future for us. But apparently, I was neglecting her. At first, she complained that I barely touched her anymore. She said she missed feeling desired, and I promised to do better. For a few days, I made an effort. Then work became stressful again, and I slipped back into my routine. That's when everything changed. Whenever I tried to initiate sex, she'd turn away and say she wasn't in the mood. The first few times, I didn't think much of it. Everyone has those days. But after two weeks, I started noticing a pattern. She still dressed beautifully when we went out. She still laughed at my jokes, sent me funny videos, and asked what I wanted for dinner. But whenever I touched her waist or kissed her neck, she'd gently remove my hand. One night, I asked whether something was wrong. She looked at me and said, "Nothing. I'm just not in the mood." I accepted it and went to sleep. A month passed. Then another.

With Carrie returning for Season 2, I hope the series understands that more violence does not automatically mean better horror. The first season has the opportunity to explore the psychological consequences of Carrie’s story instead of relying on the same shocking moments that made the original famous. What interests me most is the damage left behind: the people who participated in the cruelty, the people who watched it happen, and the people who convinced themselves they were innocent. If the next season only tries to make Carrie more frightening, it could miss the very thing that makes her story disturbing. The aftermath may be more revealing than another explosion of power.

I told my husband our newborn daughter had died during childbirth. Eight years later, he discovered she was alive, and the person who helped me hide her was his own mother. When I gave birth, my marriage was falling apart. My husband, Daniel, had been having an affair with his colleague, and I had already decided to leave him. Then our daughter was born with a serious heart condition requiring expensive treatment. Daniel's family insisted she should be treated at a specialist hospital. I refused their money because I didn't want to owe a family that had made me feel worthless. His mother, Margaret, offered to help me get the baby transferred to another hospital. Instead, she arranged for my daughter to stay with her sister temporarily while I recovered. When I asked to see my baby, Margaret told me she hadn't survived the operation. I was devastated. Then she made me promise never to tell Daniel what had happened

Drogon wasn't a pet. He was a nuke with wings. Astapor: One word - Dracarys - and a slave master became ash. Meereen: He burned an entire fleet to save his mother. Field of Fire 2.0: One pass and a Lannister shield wall that stood for 800 years disappeared. Armies, castles, fleets... all meaningless when he screamed. But here's the truth no one wants to admit: In S1-S6, she controlled him. "Dracarys" was justice. For slaves. For the abused. For children. In S7-S8, he started controlling her. She couldn't feed her dragons and keep them locked. She couldn't be Mhysa and be a Targaryen. Drogon wanted to burn. And she started wanting to let him. Look at the pattern: - When she burned the Khals, it was survival. - When she burned the Tarlys, it was pride. - When she burned Varys, it was paranoia. - When she burned King's Landing... it was grief. The dragon didn't change. The rider did. The bigger Drogon got, the smaller her mercy became. So the real question was never "Did Daenerys control her dragons?" She did. Perfectly. The question is: What happens when the most empathetic person in the world finally controls a weapon that has no empathy at all? She didn't become dangerous LIKE the fire. She became more dangerous than it. Because fire only destroys what it's told to. She decided WHO deserved it.
Imagine a world where one woman could bring entire kingdoms to their knees not with an army, but with fire and blood. In Game of Thrones, Daenerys Targaryen didn’t just ride dragons, she commanded the most feared weapons in the world. And at the heart of her power was Drogon, a beast capable of turning mighty armies into ashes in seconds. But the real question is this, did Daenerys truly control her dragons, or was she slowly becoming just as dangerous as the fire they unleashed?

This is what made Tyrion dangerous to Tywin. Tywin gave him the sewers because he thought it was a joke job for a dwarf. "No Lannister of Casterly Rock would lower himself." Tyrion actually DID it. Made it perfect. Put a secret side-door for the workers and whores. Years later, Tywin forgets. Cersei forgets. Everyone forgets the dwarf did real work. So when Daenerys needs to take a castle that has NEVER fallen in 800 years, Tyrion just says "I built it, I know the backdoor." Lannister pride built walls. Lannister shame built the tunnel under them.
Tyrion Lannister designed the sewers of Casterly Rock because his father thought it was beneath him. Then he used the same sewers to take it. "Give me ten good men and I'll impregnate the b!tch." The most impregnable castle in Westeros fell not to dragons or armies, but to daddy issues and a secret sex tunnel. 😭

A man and a woman can both earn $100,000 a year, but that doesn't automatically mean their relationship should be 50/50. What if one person handles most of the cooking, cleaning, childcare, and emotional labor?

In HBO's Game of Thrones, Grey Worm becomes the commander of the Unsullied through a rare democratic choice granted to him by Daenerys Targaryen immediately after she liberates them from Astapor in Season 3. Here is how his rise plays out on screen: The Liberation of Astapor (Season 3, Episode 4 - "And Now His Watch Is Ended"): Daenerys acquires the Unsullied army from the slave masters (the Good Masters) using her adult dragon, Drogon, in a trade. Once the transaction is locked in, she orders Drogon to burn the main slave trader, Kraznys mo Nakloz, and commands the Unsullied to kill all slave masters in the city. After the slaughter, she gives the 8,000 elite soldiers their freedom, telling them they can leave as free men or fight for her as free soldiers. All 8,000 march with her. Rejecting Slave Traditions: Unsullied soldiers were forced by the Good Masters to take degrading names (such as Grey Worm, White Rat, or Vermin) drawn randomly from a bucket every day to strip them of their human identity and remind them of their status as property. The Election of a Commander (Season 3, Episode 5 - "Kissed by Fire"): Wanting a leader chosen by trust rather than forced rank, Daenerys tells the army to elect their own commander. The soldiers unanimously choose Grey Worm. Reclaiming His Name: When Daenerys tells him to shed his slave name and pick a birth name or a proud new name, he chooses to keep "Grey Worm." He explains that his previous name was the one he bore on the day Daenerys Targaryen freed him, transforming a symbol of shame into a mark of pride and personal salvation. Through this election, Grey Worm evolves from an anonymous, castrated slave soldier into Daenerys's most loyal general, trusted advisor, and the undisputed leader of her military vanguard throughout her conquest of Essos and Westeros

The Space Between Us I can tell you exactly when I knew something was wrong. It wasn’t a fight. It was an ordinary Tuesday, and Carmen said goodnight to me the way you’d say it to a neighbour, and I said it back the same way, and neither of us flinched. That’s what scares me, looking back. Neither of us flinched. Eleven years. There was a time we couldn’t keep our hands off each other. I remember her laughing in the hallway of our first flat, pulling me by my collar, late for everything. Now we lay in a bed that had somehow become an ocean, backs turned, each of us pretending to sleep so the other wouldn’t have to pretend to be fine. I told myself it was the kids, the mortgage, the hours. I told myself everything except the truth, which was that I was afraid.

I told my wife I wasn't attracted to her anymore. I didn't expect her to take me seriously. She did. It came out during an argument. She'd been asking why I'd stopped initiating sex. I was frustrated, and I said the cruelest thing I could have said: "Maybe I'm just not attracted to you anymore." The second it left my mouth, I wanted to take it back. She didn't argue. She just nodded.

Harry Kane: From London Boy to Ballon d’Or Winner ⚽🏆 Harry Kane’s journey is a story of patience, hard work, and determination. Born on 28 July 1993 in Walthamstow, London, Kane began playing football at Ridgeway Rovers before joining Tottenham Hotspur’s academy in 2004. He was not always considered a future superstar. In fact, he had to work hard to prove himself. After loan spells with Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City, and Leicester City, Kane finally broke into Tottenham’s first team. That was the beginning of something special. Tottenham’s Record Goalscorer Kane became one of the Premier League’s most dangerous strikers. He won the Premier League Golden Boot three times: 2015–16 2016–17 2020–21 In the 2020–21 season, he also won the Premier League Playmaker award after recording the most assists. Kane eventually became Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer, scoring 280 goals in all competitions. He also helped the club reach the 2019 UEFA Champions League final. Despite his incredible individual achievements, Kane left Tottenham in 2023 without winning a major trophy. A New Chapter at Bayern Munich In August 2023, Kane joined Bayern Munich for a reported fee of more than €100 million. He adapted quickly to German football. During his first Bundesliga season, he scored 36 league goals in 32 appearances and won the Bundesliga top-scorer award. The 2024–25 season brought a major milestone: Bayern won the Bundesliga, giving Kane the first major team trophy of his senior career. Then came the historic 2025–26 season. Kane scored: 61 goals for Bayern Munich 12 goals for England 73 goals in 65 games overall He also won the European Golden Shoe and continued to establish himself as one of the best forwards in world football. England Captain and Record Goalscorer Kane made his England debut in 2015 and scored just seconds after coming on as a substitute. In 2018, he became England captain at the FIFA World Cup in Russia. He scored six goals, won the Golden Boot, and helped England reach the semi-finals. Kane also helped England reach the Euro 2020 and Euro 2024 finals. Although England lost both finals, Kane remained one of the team’s most important players. In March 2023, he became England’s all-time leading goalscorer after surpassing Wayne Rooney’s record. By October 2026, Kane had scored 91 goals in 125 appearances for England. Ballon d’Or Glory On 26 October 2026, Harry Kane won the Ballon d’Or. The award recognised his outstanding performances for Bayern Munich and England. His 73-goal season, leadership, consistency, and influence helped him become the fifth Englishman to win the men’s Ballon d’Or. The previous English winners were: Sir Stanley Matthews — 1956 Sir Bobby Charlton — 1966 Kevin Keegan — 1978 and 1979 Michael Owen — 2001 For Kane, the award completed one of the most remarkable journeys in modern football. Kane’s Playing Style Kane is more than just a goalscorer. He is known for: Clinical finishing Intelligent movement Excellent positioning Strong aerial ability Reliable penalty taking Creative passing Link-up play Leadership Consistency He can score goals, create chances, drop deep, and bring teammates into the game. That complete style has made him one of the most effective strikers of his generation. Personal Life Kane is married to Katie Goodland, whom he has known since childhood. The couple married in 2019 and have four children. Away from football, Kane keeps his family life relatively private and has often spoken about the importance of family support. Harry Kane’s Legacy Harry Kane’s career proves that success does not always happen overnight. He faced setbacks, spent time on loan, and had to fight for his place at Tottenham. But through patience, discipline, and consistency, he became:
