DAY 3
Gears of War 3 - XBOX 360 (2011)
This is where I stopped loving this franchise and became obsessed with it.
I literally played for hours and finished the entire campaign in 2 sittings... who even does that..?
That says a lot about me, but more importantly, it shows how incredible this game is. It hooked me and never let me go.
Crazy to think they managed such a huge jump in visuals on the same hardware. It’s still a 360 game, which blows my mind.
The budget was around 5 times bigger than the previous game, and it shows in every aspect. Looks incredible, with so many epic cinematic set pieces.
Money well spent.
Man, Dom and his storyline are still on my mind.
Absolutely loved every moment.
What a way to close a trilogy.

Just got a little bit of a channel update for ya, soooo I'm starting a new job tomorrow and because of that, I expect the videos on this channel to slow down in frequency, at least for a bit while I adjust. I finished Gears of War E-Day's campaign last night, what a wild ride it was. A true return to form after the lackluster 4 & 5, The Coalition finally made a great Gears game that can stand alongside the original trilogy. I'm hopeful they continue this story with the next game and we get to see how Marcus landed in the Slab.
Since I disabled the device in Windows, I have had zero system instability. Even with terrible SSD prices, I'm glad it wasn't something more substantial.
CKY has gotta be one of the bigger "what ifs" for me in rock music. They have so many great riffs, killer hooks, they were featured in all kinds of games and skate videos back in the day, yet they never really "took off"
I miss when gaming discourse was about the story, characters, the dialogue, the conflict, the gameplay, literally ANYTHING other than sales numbers/projections.
I legit do not care.
This new driver/game update for Gears Eday now has my game crashing like crazy, wtf are we doing man 😭
