I’m building ApeFax exactly because of this.
When the CEO of Yuga publicly says collector strength is hard to quantify, that’s the gap. Floor price tells you nothing about a 4T or an admirals coat.
Rarity tools rank traits but don’t price them. OTC desks like @GrailsOTC are doing the work without the infrastructure underneath them.
Daily sales volume on rare-trait apes is dropping because the supply has gone diamond-handed, and nobody is tracking that signal.
Apefax is a Per-token fair value with the methodology fully exposed. No black box. Floor + trait premium + lineage + history + score. Each component visible.
The grails are rotating into stronger hands. The numbers behind those rotations should be transparent.

there are only 46 gold apes
and at this point, it’s very difficult to find an off-market seller willing trade
the lowest listed gold ape is 199 eth ($460k) which is effectively double before @GrailsOTC started 3 weeks ago
bids are rising
but sellers are not budging
digital assets like these have rotated into significantly more diamondhanded positions
for gold apes, not only are sellers not budging
they pretty much don’t exist
we are still working through trippies, 4Ts, blacksuits, admirals coats, kings robes, pimp coats, etc
but overall our goal has been to help facilitate even more off-market inventory rotating into strong collectors
subjective trait-based requests are being facilitated
completionists are trading for full sets
minimalists are trading for clean apes
aesthetics are in control
this is important work because it applies momentum to a quality that is hard to quantify:
collector strength
paired with our progress on IRL events, I firmly believe the sustained pressure we are applying will yield the results everyone is after - a strong Club
on a related note, while the bayc website is deliberately minimal and opaque to the public, we are experimenting with a deeper experience in the members section
there are also other strategies, which i will go over this week, that I believe to be under engaged, but full of potential for the
bored ape yacht club
Another step forward for ApeFax.
APEFAX and CHECK BEFORE YOU APE are both approved for USPTO publication on November 3. Registration is still pending, but seeing both notices feels pretty damn good.

A few things I learned last night specific to ApeFax.
1. People love the product and the idea behind it, while it might take some time to change how people look valuing their NFTs there is a need and that was good to hear.
2. Organic adoption will not be easy but we are not going to force anything. We don’t need paid KOLs, influencers or anyone to push our narrative.
3. There are a ton of things we can do but the first thing we WILL do is start with value and trust.
You will always get the answer you need from ApeFax and we will never black box how we got you those answers.
Soft launch is winding down and feedback requests go out next week then final updates, smart contract ceremony for the 1st certification mint and then we go live.

I think the exact opposite, people come from different walks of life, have different experiences, likes, wants and needs.
If this makes this group of apes happy then why hate on it.
You don’t like it cool go to a different event or set up a new experience and invite us all to enjoy.
I’ve seen videos of high-end dinners apes host, been to a few when I get invited but those events are private and yeah there are pictures but we aren’t making music videos.
We talk about the blockchain, how we’ve connected with other apes, how we can make opportunities happen among ourselves and continue to network.
Having money doesn’t make you more elegant than anyone else and when you get to fuck you money the hope is that you stay the same.
Humble and hungry is how we all progress.
