disney tried really hard making maggie a hit as shown from this promo, this magazine image, and that one theme music video
the only recorded ratings was when it premiered on ABC Kids, where it actually was a huge success, but i guess on disney channel proper, they sunk hard

Happy Halloween, everyone!

This episode marked the debut of Gabriella, a deaf Latina mermaid who communicated in sign language. Gabriella was based on a young fan who passed away, during the show's first season.
Today marks the 33rd anniversary of the #TheLittleMermaid episode, "Wish Upon a Starfish", written by Patsy Cameron & Tedd Anasti and directed by Jamie Mitchell.
Ariel befriends a deaf mermaid, and both of them decide to seek out the magical Wishing Starfish.
