You people are clowning on fic writers talking about their struggle with the lack of engagement (that only 'pays' in kudos and comments) while glazing the indiscriminate sharing done by accounts who might actually monetarily gain from the tractions their tweets are getting
One last food for thought moment and I'll go back to shutting up.
If I child proudly shows you a drawing they've made, do you think that they are selfish for doing so? Or is perhaps HUMAN NATURE THAT DOESN'T SIMPLY GO AWAY ONCE ONE GROWS to search validation with art?
You know, I've been sitting on these thoughts for a while because there was always this vibe of "writer, you're not allowed to complain or you are selfissshhh" skulking about but I'm fucking done, so here we go:
When that happens don't come fucking crying to any of us. We've been telling you. We've warned you that literally all you need is the decency to give back a modicum of feedback, something that takes you, like, a minute.
At this point I'm highkey wondering what percentage of the people who act like writers/artist are the progeny of satan for expressing a desire for feedback are writers/artist themselves
And not to get "source: I made it up" on y'all but I have the suspicion that it's VERY SMALL
