Louis(@powdae) walked builders through Coconut Walletโ€™s UI/UX at @bitshala_org 's BOSS Summit 2026 in Jaipur ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ We also encouraged participants to install a hot wallet and receive some sats themselves, and invited them to contribute through CCOS (Coconut Contribution Open Store) For us, these are connected steps: understanding a wallet, trying it, and helping make it better. Good UX gives people a clear way into each of them. Thatโ€™s the reminder weโ€™re taking from this session: make the first step approachable, then give people room to go further. Receiving a few sats can be a starting point. Contributing an idea or a feature can be the next. It means a lot to bring what weโ€™re building in Korea into a room of Bitcoin builders in India. Thank you to Bitshala for bringing us together, and to everyone who joined Louisโ€™s session. Weโ€™d love to keep the conversation going and build Coconut with more of you.

Coconut Vault turns one today! ๐Ÿฅฅ๐ŸŽ‚ Thanks to everyone whoโ€™s been part of our journey. Itโ€™s our birthday, but the gift is for you ๐Ÿ’š Meet Coconut Vault Lite โ€” a new way to use Coconut Vault โšก๏ธ A signing-only edition that lets you load your seed when needed, sign transactions offline, and delete wallet data when your session ends. Choose Coconut Vault for secure storage mode and inheritance wallets. Choose Coconut Vault Lite if you only need offline signing. Pick the version that fits how you use your wallet. Weโ€™ll keep creating more options until everyone can safely hold their own bitcoin ๐Ÿฅฅ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ ------ Q. Which features are left out of Lite? Lite excludes secure storage mode, which keeps your seed on the device between sessions, and inheritance wallets. It supports QR-based offline signing for standard single-sig and multisig wallets. Q. Do existing Vault users need to purchase Lite separately? No additional purchase is needed to use signing-only mode. Coconut Vault already includes both signing-only mode and secure storage mode. Q. Do I need to load my seed again next time? Yes. Wallet data is deleted when the session ends, so youโ€™ll need to load your seed again the next time you use the app. Keep your recovery seed and any passphrase you use backed up safely and separately from the app. Q. Does Lite also work exclusively offline? Yes. It exchanges transaction data via QR codes and signs offline. If it detects a network connection, it blocks app use and clears its memory. Q. Can I use it with other wallet apps? Yes. In addition to Coconut Wallet, it works with watch-only wallets in Sparrow, BlueWallet, and Nunchuk.

Do you need to learn every feature just to use a Bitcoin wallet? For first-time users, the essentials should be easy to find. For experienced users, everyday features should be right where they want them. Bitcoin belongs to all of us. But what it means to each of us may be different. Thatโ€™s why we wanted Coconut Wallet to make room for the way you use Bitcoin. Arrange the features you need like widgets, right where they make sense to you. Tomorrow, Coconut Walletโ€™s home screen is changing. What it looks like? Thatโ€™s up to you๐Ÿ˜‰

Part 3, continued: software cold wallets, a comparison of wallet roles, and how to identify your own setup. This completes our three-part introduction. Next, our new Get the most out of Coconut! series will put the concepts into practice. Cards 5 to 8

Bitcoin Wallet Basics, Part 3 of 3 Why use a watch-only wallet? You can check your balance and transaction history without private keys. A watch-only wallet handles the viewing. When it is time to send bitcoin, a signer holding the keys approves the transaction. Separating those roles lets you use a wallet while keeping the keys offline. These cards show how the pieces work together. Share this with someone wondering how a cold wallet works without an internet connection.

Part 2, continued: recovery phrases, a lost phone, and three things to do when you create a wallet. Cards 5 to 8

Bitcoin Wallet Basics, Part 2 of 3 Do you need a separate device to hold your own bitcoin? You can start with a hot wallet on your phone. A cold wallet keeps private keys offline. How you use them and what to watch out for are different, but both need a backup. Already created a wallet? Back up your recovery phrase and keep it somewhere safe. Share this with someone who has been putting off self-custody because a separate device felt like too much.
