Two teams in the state have two ball carriers who are in the top 12 in their respective classifications for rushing yards, North Moore's Jakarey Gillis and Kolby Ritchie are one of those duos with a combined 2,400+ yards in their first varsity season. thepilot.com/sports/twice-as…

North Moore football closed out its first perfect season Friday against Chatham Central, but getting there was far from the picture perfect vision that most football teams take nowadays. With it comes the first conference title for the program since 1996.

Some quick hits before we get fully in the swing of Week 10 football action. The top team and the top performer from last week came from the same school after a big win. thepilot.com/sports/quick-hi…

The biggest game of this century for North Moore football tonight? I'd say so.
Pinecrest looks to keep a conference title in sight and Union Pines fights for its playoff life also.
Three home football games this week, and each carries its own weight with playoff and conference titles hanging in the balance. North Moore has been waiting for nearly a whole year to avenge last year's loss to Cummings. thepilot.com/sports/week-9-p…
