I reckon this guy might know what he's talking about
"We were driving through Colorado [and] we had the radio on and eight of the Top Ten songs were Beatles songs. In Colorado! 'I Want to Hold Your Hand,' all those early ones. "They were doing things nobody was doing. Their chords were outrageous, just outrageous, and their harmonies made it all valid . . . but I kept it to myself that I really dug them. Everybody else thought they were for the teenyboppers, that they were gonna pass right away. But it was obvious to me that they had staying power. I knew they were pointing the direction where music had to go. "In my head, the Beatles were it. It seemed to me a definite line was being drawn. This was something that never happened before . . . "They were fantastic singers. To this day, it's hard to find a singer better than Lennon was, or than McCartney was and still is. I'm in awe of McCartney. He's about the only one that I'm in awe of. He can do it all. And he's never let up. He's got the gift for melody, he's got the gift for rhythm, he can play any instrument. He can scream and shout as good as anyone, and he can sing a ballad as good as anyone. And his melodies are effortless, that's what you have to be in awe of . . . he's just so damn effortless. I just wish he'd quit [laughs]. Everything that comes out of his mouth is just framed in melody. "As for Lennon . . . John has taken poetics pretty far in popular music. A lot of his work is overlooked, but if you examine it, you’ll find key expressions that have never been said before to push across his point of view. Things that are symbolic of some inner reality and probably will never be said again. "America should put statues up to the Beatles. They helped give this country’s pride back to it. I think they're the best." --#BobDylan #Dylan #Songwriter #Author #Icon #Influence #Pulitzer #NobelPrize #Oscars #HallOfFame #Beatles #TheBeatles #Impact #Singers #GOATs Sources: Rolling Stone Illustrated History of Rock 'n' Roll; Rolling Stone magazine, 2007; Playboy, 1978; Down The Highway: The Life of Bob Dylan, Howard Sounes

Tommy started questioning his very existence within the first minute itself. 😂 Discovering Abdul El-Sayed, senator-elect from Michigan. How to deal with a racist 👇

Orangutans always get mentioned in relation to this fat fucking imbecile... which is really unfair on the orangutan community imo
The tragedy of our time isn’t that a depraved deranged orangutan could literally be dropping an actual nuclear bomb on an innocent country and start the last war ever on this planet at any moment because he’s a dumb piece of trash and a pedophile child rapist who has 💯% been caught on tape raping children. The tragedy isn’t even that not a single human alive would be surprised at this point if the US dropped a fucking nuclear bomb on a nation of 92 million, a nation that the US has been raping and torturing for over 70 years for daring to want democracy, prosperity and self determination. No, the real tragedy is that we have only ourselves to blame. When not a single elected “political leader” in the world is even trying to stop this madness -a madness which is going to be the catalyst for an extinction-level global catastrophe - then it becomes clear how we have all collectively fucked up. Most of us have elected the corrupt worthless scum in charge of this world today. Most of us have watched and ignored their endless depravity, gaslighting, incompetence and greed for far too long. Now we are all condemned to wait and guess whether a genocidal child murdering war criminal is going to be successful in convincing a shit-for-brains child rapist-who’s almost certainly caught on Mossad recorded tapes raping children -to drop an actual nuclear bomb on Iran and start world war III in order to keep them both out of prison. This is the world we have created. This is the madness we have accepted for decades and normalized.

Had Radio2 on there and it's weird. A lot of artists or chart music I was indifferent to or even actively disliked and avoided in the 80/90s, gives me a nostalgic glow now. Triggers memories. Must've been consuming it subliminally, below the threshold of my conscious awareness🤔

Couldn't even tell you the names of some of the tunes, just stuff I'd have regarded as cheesy or of little artistic merit. Probably says more about me 😂 🤷🏻‍♂️
