Last month, Bloomberg’s Wall Street Week show toured the Grassy Mountain site and spoke with our CEO, Brad Johnston, about the revised mine plan and the benefits this project could bring to Alberta.
The revised Grassy Mountain Project will implement modern management practices, including a water treatment facility. This multiple-lines-of-defence system for selenium management will protect water quality for downstream users.
The revised Grassy Mountain Project is a $1.4 billion investment that will generate billions in government revenues, hundreds of jobs and require nearly $7 billion in operational expenditures over the lifespan of the proposed mine, of which approximately 90% will be spent on Canadian suppliers.
Watch the episode to hear from both Brad and project supporters about the Grassy Mountain Project.

If approved, the revised Grassy Mountain Project will supply critical steelmaking coal to global markets while creating jobs, supporting local businesses, and generating significant economic activity for Alberta, all while meeting the highest environmental standards.
