Seeing lots of Runes and Ordinals fud Which means we’re probably about to go to new ATHs lol Runes are firmly the best fungible token standard on Bitcoin Ordinals are firmly the best non-fungible token standard on Bitcoin Together both of these financial primitives can unleash an economy on top of Bitcoin the likes of which crypto has never experienced It will not happen overnight These protocols may need to evolve over time We will probably need to scale with trustless bridges and continue to grind away at the UX to squeeze as much out of L1 as we possibly can But in just the past several months we have: - Built solutions to stop Ordinals from being sniped in the memecoin which was once considered to be the largest issue facing the ecosystem - Created swap interfaces that now account for half of the Runes on-chain volume - Achieved over a dozen total Runes being listed on centralized exchanges as well as new Runes perp listings on several T1 exchanges And I am extremely proud of this progress and am looking forward to us taking the next major steps forward soon Make no mistake Bitcoin tokens are the largest opportunity in crypto and people who are trying to pit Ordinals and Runes against each other are completely missing the bigger picture No crypto ecosystem is going to scale massively with just NFTs or just memecoins or just gaming or just stable coins or just DeFi or just AI agents etc… You need all of it to have a robust and flourishing economy where there is always something exciting going on Fight the temptation to turn PvP and let’s grow the pie for everyone Liquidity WILL flow into this ecosystem again and the attention of the crypto space WILL shift to us again and both Runes and Ordinals WILL be important primitives for enabling that to happen If I could give one piece of advice to every Bitcoin project it would be to work for your bags You can’t just expect them to go up You can’t only show up on the green days Crypto is an attention economy You need to show up every single day and relentlessly fight for your bags and for what you believe in and eventually people will start to notice Do not waste your time arguing with each other over dumb stuff like the Ethereum community does Have conviction If every single Ordinals and Runes project/community showed up every single day like they do in the peak hype moments we would make so much noise that it would be impossible for people to ignore us And that’s exactly what I plan on doing so regardless of if you like PFPs, memecoins, art, on-chain games, DeFi, or anything else as long as it is on Bitcoin we are on the same team so let’s work together and send this ecosystem to the moon
