Anyone seen what’s going on in the Tx Senate race? Reps are spending tons of money trying to win in a state they've held for decades.
They're not saying why they should vote for Ken Paxton. They're saying why you shouldn’t vote for James Talarico. What are they so worried about?
Been a while since I listened to Aladdin Sane, which might possibly be my favorite Bowie album. I suddenly remembered that the "that man" mentioned in this song is David Johansen, AKA Buster Poindexter, lead singer of the New York Dolls.

He's just like us!
"He also -can you believe this- he also said that all of you have unattractive wives, and that he had an affair with them despite them being ugly. But he's still gay."
Obama: The White House looks like a Cheesecake Factory run by Saddam Hussein.
MAGA: Does that elitist snob think he's better than us?
Vance: Working-class Americans are too dumb to read the word "incumbent."
MAGA: He's right!
A Democrat makes a joke that most Americans would instantly get, and he's labeled a Coastal Elite.* A Republican talks about Iran bombing two cities in Democratic California, and the exact same Media says "Oh, that's not what he meant."
* Despite not living on either Coast.
Perhaps people have forgotten or were too young to remember but when conservatives swear to you that Obama was a divisive president, it’s because of stuff like this. He would say the most innocuous thing and we would get days of “Dem elitist” commentary from conservative media and pundits.
Again, it’s not lost on me that Obama compared Trump’s taste to that of Saddam Hussein in the same breath, and that Trump literally said he didn’t care about high gas prices the same day, yet none of that broke through. Because perceived threats to white cultural hegemony are actually what most of the last 10 years of politics have been about.
It’s the same reason why a Democrat’s career would be over for trashing Toledo, Ohio, why we still talk about Hillary’s “deplorables” gaffe, but Republicans say awful things about America’s largest cities and deny them federal funds and there’s barely a whimper of outrage.
Daylight Saving stans always think they have me over a barrel when they say "Oh yeah? Well what should we do? Make DST permanent, or get rid of it altogether?"
I say we apply some Solomonic wisdom and split the difference. We permanently set all clocks forward 30 minutes.
We're gonna find out that all the spray painted crap he added to the Oval Office was glued on with some stuff that can't be removed without doing costly damage to the walls. I just know it.
I hate Daylight Saving, and no one will ever convince me that it's a good thing.
Don't even try and argue it with me. It won't work.
