I watched a podcast clip with Biggie and Jadakiss' sons talking about rap albums and Jada's son said he hated Ready to Die and it sounded like "Dirty Brooklyn n*ggas rapping". Many people were outraged but I actually found it hilarious in that he saw hard unpolished boom bap rap the same way someone from my generation saw Kurtis Blow or Kool Moe Dee. I'm a firm believer that with rap, more so than any other genre, you can't fully appreciate it unless you were there in the moment.
