I really hate to tell you this @pattonoswalt but you’re not paraphrasing Orson Welles, you’re paraphrasing Peter Griffin

And of course for my first flight of my grand journey I have been placed in the emergency seats.
Me, a man whom had his lunch prepared by his mother this morning. A tuna sandwich.
A man who told his mother he was afraid of mercury poisoning after receiving said tuna sandwich.
Every woman I have ever dated has told me I make them feel young. At the start this is in happiness, at the end it’s a morose statement. I talk about my self more, they talk about their self less. And do I like my self? Ish.
I shy away from distillings of anointed responsibility; I do not enjoy them. I am proudly non-dependable. I am not someone to call in an emergency, and I can think of many times where I’ve offered help in that clamorous chess game of “do you need me to…” only to recoil in waiting, praying after my immediate offer that the response will be “no, but thank you for offering”
Perhaps it is because I have not experienced an emergence within myself, a moment where this idle self finds work, not at motivation of the devil, but a sort of benevolent overhead.
I wish they implemented some kind of opt-in for the emergency seats, you’d have no shortage. You’d know who the wankers on board were as well. I wonder if that would develop into a smug exchange at their benefit, a forced smile as you pass them, “Thank you for your RyanAir service” with the final act being clapping for the plane landing and an encore for the volunteer emergency custodians.
I am sorry that I am so selfish I don’t want to be this way.
I hate when I write something long on here and then someone replies “that’s a lot of words to say” like surely you must realise you sound like a caveman.
“Why ape use many words when can use few?”
Congratulations your animus has been selected for torture in my mind palace.
Yes dude you are so right. I should’ve just said that. I could’ve saved the energy, and the water, internally, that erupted from my ears as steam as I read your asinine and snarky rebuttal at my life’s work.
Claude break down this Jungian Psychoanalysis of C9 for me.
So you’re saying it’s like he’s got a mental block in high pressure situations?
Claude I have strayed so far from the lucid light of god that I’ve sequestered myself in divorce from his love. Is there hope for the lambs such as I? Am I meat for the bone or is the bone I am. I can’t get a boner, Claude tell me about penile nerve damage and lack of sensation.
I give you people everything and you take my word for granted.
Replying to @NotDonJake
That's a lot of words to say he has a mental block in high pressure situations

Jung talks about this thing called “Enantiodromia” - idea being that “over time, any extreme psychological stance will inevitably turn into its diametrical opposite.”
I think in many ways Blaber’s debut was the violent breakthrough of C9’s repressed shadow. The psychic void left behind by Hai, the voice of the organic and democratic hivemind of early C9, bared its starved selfless jaws and gaped out for an individual with an ego that could satiate its pendulums swing.
Blaber became that cosmic correction. Where the old guard sacrificed individual glory for the collective machine, Blaber demanded that the machine bend to his volatile, instinctual tempo. He didn’t wait for a system; his raw, unbridled aggression was the system, dragging a historically disciplined franchise into the lawless terrain of the unconscious Jungle.
But in filling that vacuum with pure impulse, Cloud9 fell into the ultimate psychological trap: the solution became the new pathology.
By over-correcting into this hyper-individualistic, high-variance brilliance, C9 simply traded one form of jungle-centrism for another. The franchise grew fundamentally addicted to the narcotic of Blaber’s early-game miracles. Soaz to say, don’t get high on your own Supp + Vi.
And now comes the difficult part. Jack is what Jung calls “The All Devouring Father”
By building an institutional ecosystem entirely designed to buffer Blaber's flaws. By surrounding him with specific lane pieces and endless organizational loyalty, Jack protects his "Golden Child" from the harsh, cold earth of structural discipline. But in protecting him, Jack devours him. He denies Blaber the painful, necessary trauma of adaptation, keeping him forever trapped in the cycle of the Puer Aeternus. The same spirit that won them championships, is now creating a psychic blockage.
Jack Etienne faces a terrifying Jungian truth: he knows he must be Saturn and devour his Son for real this time. To break the curse and achieve structural rebirth, the Old King cannot simply be coached out of his habits; he must be sacrificially dethroned, and it is father who must swing the sword. Even despite knowing the psychic void it may leave, and the risk of the cycle repeating
It genuinely might be best for both Blaber and C9 if he moves on.
Feels like you need to dig up the roots, comfortability is too much. I almost feel as if psychosexually he’s blocking some of Jack’s difficult corporate decisions chakra.
Blaber in Jungian Jungle terms is trapped in a sort of Puer Aeternus, an eternal youth: flying high on impulse of brilliance but wiltering under structural discipline.
He is an Ego in its pure sense that may have become to rooted and defended within this archetype of “The Old King”
To reach psychic maturity Blaber may have to become “The Sacrificial King”
In ancient myth, when a kingdom fell into a prolonged drought or a curse, it was not always because the King was evil; it was simply that the King's era had concluded, and psychic energy (libido) was completely blocked. The only way to restore fertility to the land was to sacrificially dethrone the King to allow new life to break through the soil.
Structural rebirth must be made.
But one worries if these winds granted to Blaber, that have seen him on Cloud9, are they what makes him Icarus? Or without them will he still attempt to swim and drown.
