John Oliver lists off just some of Ken Paxton’s scandals: “Paxton spent nearly 9 years under indictment for securities fraud before the charges were dropped in a deal in which he paid nearly $300,000 in restitution to his victims and agreed to complete 100 hours of community service and 15 hours of legal ethics education, which is just an amazing thing for a state AG to have to do. Not just that, he was also accused of bribery and abuse of office by eight of his own top deputies... He was later impeached by the Republican-controlled Texas House. Now the Senate later acquitted him, but by then, Paxton had fired 4 of the staff who'd reported him, which led to a lawsuit claiming he'd violated the state's whistleblower Act, and eventually Texas taxpayers had to pay over $6 million to those staffers Paxton had fired. ... But wait, because I'm still not done. Reporting recently emerged about the acquisition of 15 properties worth about $9 million by Paxton and trusts associated with him... He'd omitted rental income and mortgages from financial disclosures, obscuring his wealth, and that incredibly, he also appears to have used an address where he did not live while voting in 6 elections, all of which did throw a bit of a wrench into his efforts to present himself as a law and order candidate.”

Paxton brings impeachment baggage and deduction heavy promises. He's a pedo defender! Talarico brings a record of lowering insulin costs, capping Pre K class sizes, expanding diplomas for incarcerated youth and a working Texas affordability agenda. #DarkArmada

The 4th largest economy in the world — which grew faster last quarter than Texas and Florida (combined) — is showing a growing economy and a clean energy approach go hand in hand!
California just became the first major grid system on the planet to generate more than 50% of its electricity from solar across an entire month. Battery costs are falling rapidly, and utility-scale solar is among the cheapest sources of new power in the US. Solar is the future.

I can’t understand how anyone claiming to fight for working people could hold and promote such ludicrous beliefs. These ideas don’t reflect American values, and they certainly don’t represent South Carolina. If this is what the DSA stands for, it’s completely un-American and unhinged.
Fox: "Abolish the Senate?" DSA Chair: "True" Fox: "Abolish ICE?" DSA Chair: "Absolutely" Fox: "Abolish borders and give amnesty to anyone in the US illegally?" DSA Chair: "Yep" Fox: "Defund the Pentagon?" DSA Chair: "Absolutely" Fox: "Abolish prisons?" DSA Chair: "Yep"

🚨 JD Vance CALLS OUT warmongers who say Iran won with this deal "The idea that they get benefits before they change their behavior is fundamentally a talking point that is issued by people who want the conflict to continue INDEFINITELY." "They don't get ANYTHING unless they change their behavior." "If they change their behavior, that is a thing to celebrate that's going to transform the Middle East for a generation."

Funny you say that, I served for 14yrs, completed 4 tours in 2 different wars. I travelled to 19 countries while in the service, including 7 in the Middle East. I spent my last seven years as a Joint Command intelligence officer, working alongside the Army, Navy, Air Force, and national intelligence agencies. How come NO ONE ever told me we were in a 47yr old war with Iran? I was in Iraq when we confronted ISIS, AT THE SAME TIME AND IN THE SAME PLACE IRAN WAS FIGHTING ISIS…… SO, if we were at war with Iran, how come we fought the same enemy but not each other?

Look at it this way: Fried chicken is dominated by Popeyes and KFC. When there are no alternatives or competition, this is the usual result. It's also why I yelled about the importance of understanding economics after Spirit Airlines folded.
A 16-piece meal at Popeyes is now over $50. A BUCKET of chicken… over $50. Fast food used to be the cheap, quick option. This isn’t just inflation. It’s price gouging.

-A "Republican" Congress wouldn't defund a mandate to put kill switches in our cars. -They all want CBDC. -They're voting to spy on us without warrants. -Data centers are going up whether residents want them or not. -We'll hit $40T in debt soon. -Our farms are going bankrupt.
Happy Sunday, everyone! - The Epstein Files haven’t been released. - We are at war in the Middle East. - Gas prices are high. - Consumer sentiment is at a record low.

Mark Cuban just described the largest wealth transfer of the AI era. Almost nobody understood what he said. Cuban: “There are 33 million companies in this country. Aren’t going to have AI budgets. Aren’t going to have AI experts.” Not tech startups. The shoe store. The regional trucking outfit. The accounting firm with 12 employees. The businesses that actually run the physical economy. They know AI is coming. They have no idea what to do with it. Cuban: “You’ve got the head of Microsoft saying software is dead because everything’s going to be customized to your unique utilization.” Software is dead. The SaaS era ran on one rule. Build a generic product. Force millions of companies to bend their workflows around it. Charge rent forever. AI ends the contract. The business stops bending to the software. The intelligence bends to the business. But customized by whom. The third-generation manufacturer cannot tell Claude from Gemini. The county hospital is staring at a reactor asking where the light switch is. Cuban: “Who’s going to do it for them?” That question is worth more than the frontier models themselves. Hundreds of billions are being burned to build the foundation. The smartest engineers alive are locked in a bloodbath over who owns the base layer. Let them fight. Let them burn the capital. Let them drive the cost of raw intelligence toward zero. Because the wealth does not collect where the brain is built. It collects where the brain meets the business. Every ambitious kid in college right now thinks survival means a seat at OpenAI or Anthropic. Cuban is staring at the other 99 percent of the economy. Learn the models. Then learn the messy, unglamorous reality of how a 50-person company actually operates. Walk through the door. Understand their problems. Wire the intelligence directly into their revenue. That is not a job title. That is an entire economic class being born. You do not need to build the brain. You need to build the nervous system. The biggest winners of the electricity era were not the engineers who built the generators. They were the ones who walked into dark factories and showed the owners where to plug in. 33 million companies are standing in the dark right now. Silicon Valley is racing to build the god. The fortunes will belong to whoever teaches him a trade.

Jokes aside~ Christians: When Josh was here —whether real or fictional— He explained things, was a teacher, and had a big problem with the empire, and those debasing the money (energy) He also had issue with people worshipping false gods and idols of this world I think it may be time for an agonizing reappraisal of the entire scene —from top to bottom ~just one A-theist’s opinion

What the messianic fake ass idolatrous sacrilegious bloody damn hell is this? Tone deaf. For a guy so self absorbed he’s not very self aware, because Trump couldn’t be further from the teachings and moral worth of Christ. And you remaining MAGA wonder why so many say you’re in a cult?
Trump just posted a photo depicting himself as Jesus. He is depicting himself as God. He is not mentally fit to serve. MAGA Christians: How could you POSSIBLY defend this?

The University of Michigan has been measuring consumer sentiment since 1952. We just got the first Iran-afflicted measure for April, and it's at the lowest level ever recorded.

Rep. Scott Perry fights on behalf of his corporate donors, who have given him $935,450. Not to mention, his billionaire backers spent even more to support him. He paid them back by voting to give them an enormous tax break. #MostCorrupt2026 #PA10
