We are currently in exactly such a phase again.
Looking at the last comparable situations, it took roughly 6 days and 12 hours from the local high to the breakout each time.
Fairly speaking, we are therefore looking at about 7 days.
The market needs this time to build positions and shake out weak hands.
While retailers around the $79,000 area are panicking and bears shorting the dip, institutions and whales are using exactly this weakness.
They buy the dips, build their positions, and position themselves for the next larger move.
What looks like weakness to many is often just an opportunity for the big players to accumulate more coins.
If Bitcoin dumps into the FOMC, a sharp pump shortly afterward becomes very likely.
As I already said, the dump is already priced in.
A bit more fodder for the bears, the real move is still ahead. ⌛️

Lovely move $BTC 84k and 🩸
BTC has been range-bound for days and, in the meantime, many have tried to short it, only to get stopped out. But the picture hasn’t changed: we’re still trading within a range. Until there’s a confirmed breakout, chasing a direction whilst the market is range-bound means exposing yourself to market noise.
On the 12-hour chart, I’m keeping an eye on the support zone around 80k and the resistance area between 83500/84k. A decisive breakout above resistance could finally provide some direction and open up room towards the upper end of the range, in the 88k area. If, on the other hand, support gives way with confirmation, the scenario changes and the price may test lower levels.
Otherwise, I would focus on intraday trading: trading reactions at key levels, waiting for a trigger and managing risk. No short positions just because the price isn’t rising, and no long positions just because it’s rebounding. In the middle of the range, we wait; at the extremes, we assess the price action.

It really feels like we are barely touching the tip of the iceberg in a market larger than anyone can imagine.
We first launched Whop as a better way for us to sell sneaker bots, one of the most niche types of desktop software out there.
Total TAM? Probably $20,000 per day.
Who cares, tiny market.
But, what people discounted is the idea that there were actually 70,000 other markets exactly like that one.
