You were a weekend TV host. You could have built a long, comfortable career in entertainment.
Instead you chose to be Secretary of War. On the first day of your war, a Tomahawk hit a girls' elementary school in Minab and killed 168 children in their classrooms. You called it "unfortunate," kept preaching "maximum lethal violence," and your office reportedly sat on the findings until after the midterms.
The midterms are over. A UN inquiry has already spoken of war crimes, and the investigations are only beginning. The blood of those children is on your hands.
So tell me: was it worth it? A couple of years with a plaque on your door, in exchange for a lifetime of fleeing justice and a name your own children will be ashamed to carry?
