Our bus stops are there for a reason, but drivers stop wherever they like and commuters board or alight anywhere. The result? Traffic, danger and total disorder. LASTMA and FRSC must do more than issue fines and target private cars. Educate drivers and commuters, enforce proper busstop use, and keep roads moving. And what’s the essence of NURTW sef? Just collect money from members and litter the roads? They can’t give their members proper orientation?
They’re purposely making life difficult before the election day.
All then plan is to act as saviour by splurging 5k at the poor idiots to run after them and shout on your mandate we shall stand
No electricity
Fuel is expensive
Minimum wage can’t even feed you for two days
No Job opportunity
Reduced purchasing power of the masses
To what end

We need to have more of this conversation. Everybody needs to wake up.
Your standard is not high because rich men do.things for you. If ypu can't do it for yourself, you don't have the standard.
You are not poor because your man is poor. You are poor because you don't have money.
You're not managing a broke boyfriend when you are broker than he is. He is your best option. Your papa no guide either.

EXPLAIN TO ME
Nigerians will source for electricity by themselves (Generators and solar), source water by themselves (Well and Boreholes) , source hospital bill by themselves(Private hospitals), buy unsubsidized petrol and food products by themselves and then the government will ask them to come and pay tax.
What are we paying tax for?
The bad road they haven’t fix in over 60 years?
The bad road that makes you change your car shock absorber or do alignment every week?

Nigerians are increasingly paying privately for things that government is supposed to help provide through public services, yet the government still expects them to pay taxes.

The real question is: if citizens have to provide almost every basic necessity for themselves, what exactly are their taxes funding? 🤔💔

I don’t think this is real, Atiku didn’t say these and I believe punch had debunked this as well
Replying to @grok
@Grok, Is it true that Atiku Abubakar, a Nigerian presidential candidate, actually said that the Kaaba has no spiritual purpose in Islam? Did he really make this statement, or is it misinformation? Can you investigate the original source, verify the exact words, and provide credible evidence?
🕋 Nigerians deserve to know the truth.
This is a scary movie scene.
All you to do is run as far as you can
I was just supposed to deliver the briefcase. I wasn't supposed to look inside. And I definitely wasn't supposed to find the countdown.
My instructions were simple: take the 4:00 PM train out of Grand Central, leave the silver case under seat 12B, and walk away. Five thousand dollars, cash.
I needed the money. I didn't ask questions. But the train was delayed. Thirty minutes turned into an hour.
That’s when I heard the ticking. It wasn't a clock. It was a mechanical whir, coming from inside the case.
I looked around. The car was empty except for an old woman asleep three rows up. I pulled the case onto my lap. The lock was cheap. I popped it with a pen.
There was no money. No documents. Just a heavy, lead-lined cylinder wired to a digital timer. It was counting down from twelve minutes.

I thought a bit of extra washing liquid on the pans would help. Now the kitchen floor is cleaner than anything that was in the dishwasher.
Loan scheme is what you’re celebrating, a scheme only 35 people benefits from ?
You’re a shame!
How about solving just electricity issue?
When I first arrived in the United States as a young man, I drove a taxi to earn money for my education. I even had to postpone starting school for several months to save enough.
When I eventually got to Chicago, I worked different jobs to support myself and pay my way through university. I know what it means to worry about tuition, accommodation and how to make ends meet while pursuing an education.
Those experiences have stayed with me.
I know what education made possible in my own life, and I believe every Nigerian child deserves that same opportunity, regardless of where they are born or what their parents can afford.
This is one reason education remains a major priority of our Renewed Hope administration.
Through NELFUND, we have provided over ₦372 billion in student loans for institutional fees and upkeep, helping young Nigerians remain in school and pursue their education.
Our technical and vocational education programme has attracted over 2.8 million applications. We have rehabilitated 38 technical colleges, while students in federal and selected state technical colleges now benefit from free school fees, boarding, textbooks and uniforms.
We have reached a new agreement with ASUU, providing for a 40% increase in academic staff remuneration and measures to improve stability in our universities.
A four-year course must take four years. Our young people deserve to complete their education on time and get on with their lives. Promise made, Promise Kept
In medical education, we are investing ₦110 billion in rehabilitating 24 medical schools. Annual nursing enrolment has increased from 28,000 to 115,000, while medical and dental enrolment has risen from 5,000 to 12,000.
Nigeria needs more doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, and we must build the capacity to train them here at home.
Over one million children who were previously out of school have been returned to learning. We are investing in teacher development, expanding educational opportunities for girls, and implementing a new national curriculum that restores Nigerian History to our classrooms.
Our children must know where we have come from, understand the country they belong to, and be prepared to take responsibility for its future.
I commend the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa @DrTunjiAlausa, the Minister of State, Professor Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad @Suwaiba_Said, and the entire education team @NigEducation for their dedication to this important work.
I am particularly pleased that the team has developed an interactive A–Z of the Nigeria Education Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI), bringing together the reforms, programmes, achievements and opportunities across our education system.
I invite every Nigerian to visit edu4pbat.ng and explore the A–Z of NESRI.
If you are a parent, find out what opportunities are available for your children. If you are a student, explore the programmes you can benefit from. If you are a teacher, see what support is available.
And if something is not working as it should in your community, I want to hear about it. Your feedback will help us identify problems and address them.
Our journey from reform to opportunities and shared prosperity must begin with education.
The circumstances of a child’s birth should never determine the limits of their ambition. Our responsibility is to give every Nigerian child a fair chance to fulfil their potential.
We have more work to do, and I am determined to see it through.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR
President

One of the factor affecting Africa is that they see themselves like the Europeans and which they are not the same. Those people are highly educated and more advanced and we can’t just copy everything they do, instead look for what works for us abide to it. The ones we can do let’s do it well for the betterment of our country.
