I require one of three simple things to interact with me on Twitter: 1) Be funny 2) Be interesting 3) Be intelligent My focus has narrowed and starting today, if you don’t or can’t provide one of these three things, you’re going to be blocked.

During our lives, many of us strive toward meaningful goals. I learned early in my life not to wait until next week, next month, or January 1 to begin. The best time to move forward is now. Today. Each day is an opportunity to grow, to improve, and to become better disciples of Jesus Christ. I was reminded of this principle recently while preparing for and recording a message that will not be published until January. By preparing diligently now, we will be ready when the time comes to share it. The Lord will magnify our efforts because we have prepared. For each of us, a willingness to work diligently to prepare ourselves for the future will open doors to meaningful opportunities—even during difficult circumstances. As we faithfully apply ourselves, we grow into the people Heavenly Father desires us to become. So, let us not delay. Let’s begin today. I promise, as you take the next step forward, the Lord will bless you in ways you cannot yet imagine. He is always ready to help.

No.
Official football account claiming this man is a prophet from God. Apparently the LDS organization is the Devine chosen monopoly of prophets from God. One after another until the end of time. Have faith all you want but let’s leave these absurd claims outside of football.

Love this.
Dude, that rules. After a gut-wrenching loss for them, it appears Texas State's QB, Brad Jackson, is praying for Maddux Madsen.

Just as a tree draws strength and nourishment from its roots, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is strengthened when its members are firmly grounded in principles that foster faith and discipleship.

No lies detected.
So, I Literally has the greatest NY Strip of all time last night at Chandler’s here in Boise. It was medium, but cooked closer medium rare. I was able to cut through the steak like butter. Not overly seasoned, buttery, light sear on the edges. I mean wtf ☺️

My car wouldn't start in a Tractor Supply parking lot in Tennessee, so I opened the hood. I know nothing about engines. In American movies, opening the hood is how a man calls for help. It works outside the movies too. The first one arrived in under two minutes with a fifty-pound bag of chicken feed on his shoulder. No hello. He set the feed on my bumper, put his hands on his hips, and looked into my engine. Then a man from a truck hauling fence posts. Hands on hips. Then an older man came out of the store holding a receipt. He had not finished paying. Through the window I could see the cashier still holding his card. I think he heard the hood. Nobody touched anything. Nobody asked my name. Three strangers stood around my engine like it was a campfire. "Battery," said Chicken Feed. "Could be the starter," said Fence Posts. "It's not the starter," said Receipt. Fence Posts made a clicking noise with his mouth to show what a bad starter sounds like. Receipt said that was the wrong click and did his own, and for a while two grown men in Tennessee just clicked at each other. I did not interrupt. It felt religious. It was the battery. The terminals were crusted white. Chicken Feed walked to his truck, came back with a can of Coca-Cola, cracked it, and poured it on my battery. "Has to be Coke." "Pepsi works," said Fence Posts. "Pepsi does not work, Ronnie." "It's the same acid!" "Then why'd God make Coke?" I looked it up that night. Men have been having this exact argument online since at least 2004. The sun was going down. Receipt said, "Somebody hold a light," and a flashlight was in my hand. I pointed it at the battery. "Not there. Where I'm looking." I moved it. "Where I'm looking NOW." For ten minutes I chased an old man's eyes around an engine with a beam of light. I have trained with a sword for twenty years. Nothing has ever asked more of my wrists. Then, without looking up, Receipt said, "Don't watch my hands, son. Watch my face. Took my daddy eleven years of yelling to teach me that." So I watched his face. I saw where he was going to look before he looked, and the light was already waiting there. He stopped correcting me. The car started on the first try. Nobody cheered. Chicken Feed took his feed back off my bumper, Fence Posts said "There ya go," and in under a minute they were gone, the way they came. I was closing my hood when a truck two rows over wouldn't turn over. Up went its hood. A father, and a boy of maybe nine. I walked over with the flashlight. I did not ask. I put the light where the father's eyes were about to go. He glanced at me. Then at his son. "Watch how he holds it."

I am grateful for precious time spent with family in recent weeks. We have gathered for enjoyable occasions, including a family dinner, a holiday gathering, and, most importantly, a celebration of the birthday of my wife, Kristen.   On behalf of our entire family, I express deep love and appreciation for all that she is and all that she does. She exemplifies the love and teachings of Jesus Christ in countless ways. She has helped me to become a better husband, disciple of Jesus Christ, and Church leader.   I encourage each of you to cherish your family relationships. Family is a divine gift from our Heavenly Father, designed to help us progress through the experiences of mortality.   The whole purpose of mortal life is to prepare us for a heavenly destiny in a family organization. As we look toward that sacred future, let us express gratitude for our families.   With love, President Oaks

When friends of different faith traditions and backgrounds come together in open dialogue, we discover our shared values and collective desire for a better world. It was my pleasure to represent The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and participate in a special dinner program and intercultural forum hosted by Grand Mufti Sheikh-ul-Islam Pashazade earlier this week in Baku, Azerbaijan. We were grateful to be recognized for recently hosting the G20 Interfaith Forum in Salt Lake City, Utah, by the Grand Mufti during this gathering. Our hope is for all to be peacemakers, love God and our neighbor, and know we are all children of God.

Replying to @NauvooSpice
So do any of these men allow their wife’s to wear swimsuits? Or are they wearing burkas to the pool?

The kid who scored the game winning touchdown for UCF in double OT, is in fact, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
i've been told UCF — THE UNIVERSITY – has kicked 30-40 students out of the game entirley for chanting "f— the mormons" against BYU. HUGE, HUGE props to the school. what a gesture.

The Book of Mormon is a great witness that the Lord loves all people and reaches out to all, everywhere. The Book of Mormon adds to our knowledge of how our Savior’s earthly ministry reached out to all of His scattered flock. Book of Mormon teachings contradict the erroneous assertion that the grace of God saves only a chosen few. The Book of Mormon teaches that our Savior "inviteth ... all to come unto him" (2 Nephi 26:33). His grace is for all. Similarly, the Book of Mormon tells us that the children of God in “every nation” have His promise that He “manifesteth himself unto all those who believe in him, by the power of the Holy Ghost” (2 Nephi 26:13). These promises from the Book of Mormon are true. I call upon all to act on these truths and to share them with others, that we may all draw closer to Jesus Christ, our Savior.

That Moses, he was an evil guy.
I was embarrassed for the Church History Matters folks tripping over themselves to dunk on Porter Rockwell. What’s @adam_ebberts say about being critical of those in our past who built the society we now enjoy (and from where we comfortably throw stones)?
