ADIPEC 2026 wrapped up in Abu Dhabi on Thursday with more than 50,000 deals worth an estimated $67 billion. That’s up 26.4% on last year. About 240,000 people came from 170 countries, which makes it the biggest edition yet.
The headline deal was ADNOC’s partnership with OpenAI and G42, and Sam Altman gave a speech at the opening ceremony. XRG also agreed to buy Shell’s stake in Australia’s North West Shelf LNG project for $1.5 billion.
Energy and AI are turning into the same conversation, and Abu Dhabi has put itself at the center of it.
