"I was with Milwaukee, started with Milwaukee, traded to St. Louis..."
"Why'd they trade you?"
"Well because they had seen enough of me... I'm not going to sit here and lie about it, the Cardinals were in dire need of a championship."
Very happy for the city of Milwaukee and the Brewer fanbase. Passionate as hell and as welcoming toward visiting rivals as any fanbase I've been around (not terribly bright, but we can't all be perfect).
Happiest for Bob. Baseball lost a lot of sparkle when it lost Uecker.

I'm so tired of these communist candidates who don't love this country. President Trump loved America so much, he wouldn't leave even during Vietnam when he could have been a war hero. Instead, he put his country first.

This was the pinnacle moment of the human race. Nothing in the anals of time has ever come close. We have been in a steady free fall ever since Game 6.

Joe Buck giving tribute to his dad was beautiful. “We will see you tomorrow night”.
Jack Buck made the same call 20 years prior when Puckett walked it off during game 6 of the 1991 WS. Both in the 11th inning
Say what you want about Joe Buck but that call will live forever

#OTD 2006 - In Game 7 of the NLCS at Shea Stadium, Adam Wainwright, on three pitches, strikes out Carlos Beltran looking with the bases loaded, giving the Cardinals a 3-1 victory over the Mets, their 17th pennant in franchise history, and a trip to the World Series to face the Tigers.
The New York outfielder, with the best HR ratio (11/81) in postseason history, is frozen by the rookie right-hander's two-out, two-strike incredible curveball.
Yadier Molina powers the offense with a two-run home run.

Leonard Cohen wrote Hallelujah. Jeff Buckley made it heartbreaking. Rufus Wainwright made it beautiful. And now there’s a version about a five-dollar blowjob.

October 6, 1990: The “Fifth Down Game.” The refs inexplicably give Colorado 5 downs to score the winning TD and beat Missouri 33-31. The TD was also a very close call.
CU would finish 11-1-1 & ranked #1 in the AP Poll to win a share of Natl title.
