GS DSP Quantum Delay SPOKEN Walkthrough & Giveaway! First spoken walkthrough I have done in a while, and I’m sure many of you will appreciate that I finally ditched my Rode lav mic, whose crappy quality was frying my head and I am using a proper mic again finally. Smash the like y’all, lol! Quantum Delay by GS DSP is really great. Go watch the vid and make up your own mind. Vid is only 10 mins long, and is here: youtu.be/XxrxxllMeQw?si=U1BS… 🟧 BRIEF REVIEW: An EXCELLENT modulated delay plugin at a very affordable price, I think this will be popular. The GSDSP modulation system is really top tier, sound quality is great, and they have some excellent preset designers on board, as they always do. I really appreciate the randomisation features, the dual mono choice for delay rates, filters and feedback, the ability to fine tune the delay, the wide choice of delay times (there’s a triplet option, for example!) the routing possibilities (LR or just left, or just right), or just one or the other, the ping pong delay and many other nice touches which show good attention to detail. 🟧 KEY FEATURES: •Delay Modes: Tape (retro) and Fade (modern, clean). •Time Manipulation: BPM synchronization (includes 5-tuplets), time in milliseconds, Fine control for micro-timing adjustments. •Filter: Lowpass, highpass, and bandpass filters within feedback path. Modulation option for dynamic effects. •Feedback: Percent or dB/s measurement, crossfeed for ping pong effects, over-feedback mode for intensified echos. •Stereo Effects: Toggle between stereo and dual mono. Parameter randomization feature. •Modulation System: LFOs & Random Generators (including 2D), Envelope Followers, Macros, dynamic chaotic systems. 🟪GIVEAWAY: 3 winners in total will win a GS DSP app for iOS of their choice. app of their choice for iOS. 1 winner on Twitter, 1 on YouTube, 1 on Insta. 🟧 K-Devices Secta - Demo, Tips, Giveaway Giveaway Details are below K-Devices Secta is out for iOS now, and is pretty cool! The main description of what the app does is rather mystifying, but it’s actually not that complicated. In fact, this YouTube video teaches you almost everything you need to know in just 3 minutes. Although it uses the iPad version, the desktop plugin is identical: 🟧 SECTA IN PLAIN ENGLISH IN 3 MINUTES! (VIDEO): youtu.be/w7ayJGvHJFo?si=fBni… 🟧 9 USEFUL TIPS: Here are some tips for using it, covering most of the important controls: 1. Start with the init patch and turn the volume of both the Above and Below sections down to zero. Now raise the volume of the Above section. No sound? Probably means you need to RAISE the value of the Verge knob. Now turn down the volume of the Above section. Turn up the volume of the Below section. Play round with the position of the Verge knob. 2. Now that you have an idea of where to set Verge to make sure you are getting sound, go back to the Above section and turn the volume up. Keep Below volume down - better to concentrate on one at a time while you get to know the app. 3. Even after you have learned how to use the app, you may decide that you only want to use one section at a time. Depends what you’re going for! 4. Play with the Smooth knob. Depending on your Verge settings, the processed audio might be very glitchy, with sudden drops in amplitude, so you can use this knob to adjust that. In the Above section, the Retain knob is useful for randomly increasing the fall of the envelope. 5. The Sidechain knob can give cool effects by using the amplitude of the Above section to duck the audio of the Below section. 6. There is no dry/wet control, but Boost can increase the input level. 7. Drift brings in some randomly timed delays and pitch drift into the Below section. 8. Melt is a smearing effect - it basically seems to do something like a transient softening, it may also be doing other things. Not sure, I often wish the K-Devices manuals described things with a bit more precision. 9. The 3 buttons on the left change the relationship between the Above and Below sections’ envelopes and amplitude, including options for the envelope of each to effect the amplitude of the other, to be summed, etc. 🟧 WHAT I LIKE: You might not get much of interest from the presets, depending on what your source audio is, but once you take the time to experiment with this in a systematic way, you ‘get it’ very quickly and it can do some really interesting sound design, whether with noise, percussion or more tonal sounds. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but I definitely like it. Price at intro, for iOS, of $4 /$4 is pretty reasonable, I think 🟧 ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: A) I would like to see these apps having ability to save user presets inside the app. As it is, you have to save them in your host / DAWs AUv3 preset system. Many users - rightly, imo - complain about this B) There might be a reason for this, but currently you can only ‘lock’ the Verge and Boost controls when surfing presets. I feel it would be handy to be able to lock other ones. C) By far the biggest thing missing that I am sure many users would want is a randomiser. 🟪GIVEAWAY: 5 winners in total will win a K-Devices app of their choice for iOS. 2 winners on Twitter, 2 on YouTube, 1 on Insta. Winners will be notified by reply to their comment and must contact me within 24 hours, or will forfeit their prize, as slow responses cause delays for me, the dev and the other winners. Good luck! MuseBud - New App by Cem Olcay, Now Out (AUv3 for iPad/iPhone/Silicon Macs) I have copies of ANY Cem Olcay app to give away to a few lucky Twitter followers, details below. There are also giveaways on YouTube and Insta. First some info about the app: Website with info is here: keybudapp.com/musebud 🟧 INFO & REVIEW: Cem Olcay’s new AUv3, MuseBud, is a MIDI generator app which allows you to customize individual possibilities for note, octave, duration, velocity, gate length, and ratchet counts of the output midi and whch ialso has a built-in midi looper/sequencer. The main selling point of the app is its fairly fine level of control over randomisation. For example, for duration, you have probability sliders for values from 1/64 to 4 bars (strangely though, no dotted or triplet values) and you can set any probability from 0-100% for each value. Notes can be chromatic or you can set limitations by scale, mode etc, with a vast list of scales to chose from. Octave values can be from -1 to +9, for velocity you have 15 different sliders for various velocity ranges, there are 12 different sliders for a range of gate times, for ratchets you have 4 sliders to set the chances of 1, 2, 3 or 4 ratchets, and so on. There is also a looper where you can record sequences within the app and then play them back. During playback you can vary the start/end times of the looper, you can delete/edit steps in the looper by pressing them, and can modify every property of each step, from note and octave to duration, velocity, gate length, and ratchet count. Each pattern comes with its own buffer, allowing you to create an unlimited number of loops by generating new patterns. Like all Cem’s apps, you can easily set up patterns to switch between. All in all, another handy tool, but I would like to see more values for note length. 🟧 MY WORKFLOW HERE: All this is done inside AUM on iPad, as usual. My 40-min spken AUM walkthrough, ‘Almost Everything You Need to Know About AUM’ is worth a watch (See my YouTube). One instance of MuseBud is being used, in chromatic scale, to sequence vocal samples in Elf Audio Koala, with some processing by Bleass Slow Machine and GS DSP Magic Delay. I have done vids on both of those, also. 2 other instances of MuseBud are sequencing 1 instance of Korg Module, with another MuseBud sequencing yet another instance of Module. The Module sounds are from the Far North pack, which I have done a demo video on. One of these instances is being processed by Quantovox RealPhase - fantastic. Not in view, but also used, are FAC Medusa, FAC Alteza and Toneboosters ReelBus (have done a detailed walkthrough of that too!). 🟧 Links: Website with info is here: keybudapp.com/musebud Appstore link: apps.apple.com/app/musebud-a… 🟪 GIVEAWAY: There are separate giveaways on YT and Twitter, by the way (you can find me there by searching for Gavinski’s Tutorials), meaning a total of 5 winners. Here on Twitter, I have 2 copies of ANY Cem Olcay app to give away. The winners will be picked within 2 days and notified by reply to their comment here, as well as by DM on Twitter. Audiothing & Hainbach Things Motor: Now on iOS | Read on for GIVEAWAY and info! I was just about to make a video on how to sidechain these in AUM - which is pretty essential if you want to use the plugin as intended, even though you can still use it without sidechaining - when I just saw that Hainbach just published a short vid on how to do that: youtube.com/shorts/FU3pLRuVC… 🟧 GIVEAWAY: I have a free copy of Things Motor for iOS to give away to one of my Twitter followers. To have a chance to win simply: ✅ Follow me on Twitter ✅ Like this tweet ✅ Write a comment ✅ Quote Tweet or Retweet Winner will be picked at random a day from now and I will mention the winner with an @ as a reply to this message tmrw, once picked, and DM you your code. Good luck! 🟧 WHAT IS MOTOR? This plugin is very loosely inspired by an old piece of Radiophonic Workshop gear called The Crystal Palace. In this Audiothing version, you can mix two sound sources and play with their tremolo, vibrato and panning. The manual is very slim on details, but the way it works, as described to me by Carlo from Audiothing, is basically like this: Various LFO types can be used to modulate tremolo, vibrato or panning in the 2 sound sources. When the Direct source is modulating up (or left in case of the Panner), the Sidechain is modulating down (or right for the Panner). 🟧 TIP: Experiment with the different sounds you get when keeping the volume up on the sidechained source rather than turning it down. This will result in a less extreme effect, which I personally often prefer. @audiothing @Hainbach101 #plugin #auv3 #iosmusic #ipadmusic #iphonemusic #experimentalmusic #radiophonic

Due to one winner not claiming their prize, I have a spare code for the iOS version of the new Bleass Arpeggiator app. Just drop a like and a comment on this message if you would like a chance to win, no need to retweet. I will pick the winner randomly a few hours from now, good luck!
🟧 BLEASS ARPEGGIATOR: The new Bleass Arpeggiator app is out and it is great - feature runthrough, review & giveaway I think this will be an EXTREMELY popular release, it’s an excellent arpeggiator with some great features. I have a giveaway for a few winners to win any Bleass iOS app of their choice, details of that are below. First though, some info about the app to get you started, including availability and pricing info, a list of my favourite features, as well as some comments about places with room for improvement. Desktop (VST3 / AAX / AU): 39 $/€ (intro price till Dec. 4): 29 $/€ iOS (AUv3 + Standalone): 14,99 $/€ (intro price till Dec. 4): 9,99 €/$ 🟧 The Standout Features: It’s MPE - hell yes!!! Can generate lots of interesting rhythmic patterns and melodic sequences at various octaves and various octave ranges Rate can be FREE as well as synced!!! This is something you don’t often see in software arps Multiplier button is a quick way to speed up / slow down a sequence by multiplying or divining the speed. However, it and several other controls would be MUCH more useful if they only changed value AFTER you released your finger. The lack of this affects how flexible this is for live performance Can filter notes: all notes / only triplets / no triplets Has a groove / swing function Has a chord option, can add bass notes, control over how much polyphony there is - fantastic Easy to jump steps, reverse, ping pong etc Controls for probability and offset Your patterns can be reset either by using a midi note as a signal or by setting a rate in beats. Eg if you choose 1 bar the sequence will be forced to reset every bar. You can get the arp itself to reset, and/or reset the lfos and the motion sequencer Lots of modulation possibilities: Mod wheel has an adjustable curve and can target 2 destinations 2 XY pads with lots of potential destinations for x and y axes and amount control for each Keyboard has a scale function, but only has major and minor scales - room for improvement there 2 LFOs, loads of destinations, curve is hand adjustable, only 6 LFO types though, could have more Has the fantastic Bleass motion sequencer 🟧 Overall: Absolutely fantastic, will 100% be a smash hit. I mentioned a few areas where it could improve, but it is genuinely a very feature-rich arp. I love that out is MPE - meaning you can have per note live pitchbending arpaeggiation! - and has so many modulation possibilities. Would recommend it to anyone without a second’s hesitation and the price point is perfect, imo, not too expensive, not too cheap. 🟧 Giveaway: 3 winners to win a copy of any Bleass app for iOS, to be picked at random after 2 days. YT and Insta posts will be up later today. There will be one winner each on Twitter, YouTube and Insta. You can find me on any platform by searching for Gavinski’s Tutorials. To have a chance to win here on Twitter: ✅Follow me ✅ Like this post ✅ Write a comment, any comment ✅ Quote tweet or retweet I will mention the winner in a reply to this tweet and will DM you if you win, in which case you will have 24 hours to claim your prize, after which, if you haven’t claimed, a new winner will be picked. 🔥GlitchScaper finally has a single page view! Giveaway of ANY Igor Vasiliev app for M1 Mac / iPad / iPhone - See Below for Details 👇 🟧 I found #Glitchscaper by Igor Vasiliev @zzzwiw to be an interesting fx and instrument when it came out but I didn’t like working with it because of the way the UI was set out. At the time, Igor said he would introduce a single page view for each generator, and that update has finally arrived, which makes me very happy and means I will finally start using this! Anyone using #NoInputMixer will be familiar with how this (optional) new layout works, and you can see how it looks in the attached video. Basically you can now have all the controls for any given generator on one single screen, and then on the left side you can control which generator’s parameters you are viewing, the level of each generator, and you have mute and solo buttons for each. Appstore Link for your convenience: apps.apple.com/app/glitchsca… 🟧Here are the main details of the update: The new button "Multi/Single" toggles the main screen between displaying all six sound generators or displaying all controls for the selected generator on the single screen. The new option "Undo" allows you to revert parameters to their previous state after "Make sequence" / "Make tone" operations for each generator, as well as return to a save point that you can set before making changes to the parameters of different generators. Buttons that have multiple values now open a pop-up menu (but you can set the toggle values mode in app settings). 🟧 In this little video, I am using Glitchscaper as an FX on an arpeggiated piano, I have a simple kick running in the background from @BLEASSapps Sidekick and am using @BabyAudio #Transit as an FX from time to time. All the glitchiness and the occasional bassy sounds are coming from the processing that Glitchscaper is doing. 🟪 GIVEAWAY: I will put giveaways for this on Insta and YouTube later today, you can find me on those by searching for Gavinski’s Tutorials. To win any Igor Vasiliev app (note that many of his apps work on M1 Mac as well as iPhone / iPad) here on Twitter: ✅Follow me ✅Like this post ✅Write a comment, any comment ✅Quote tweet or retweet this The winner will be picked at random 2 days from now. The winner’s name will be posted as a reply to this post and I will DM you to your Twitter inbox if you win, in which case you will need to reply within 24 hours to claim your prize, or it will go to someone else instead. Good luck!🍀 PS: I also have a massive giveaway with a chance to win Geoshred Pro and all the IAPs, check out that tweet from earlier today if you missed it. More about Mela: Mela allows users to create custom synths, audio effects, and MIDI processors. Its presets consist of modules on lanes that handle audio and MIDI signals, using buses for signal interconnectivity. Users can modulate any parameter across lanes with modulator modules. You can easily add, remove and rearrange lanes and modules to adjust complexity. Modules are regularly updated with new additions, covering MIDI processors (like arpeggiators and chord generators), synth components (like oscillators and filters), modulators (like LFOs and envelope generators), audio effects (like chorus and distortion), and utilities (like oscilloscopes and MIDI loggers). Mela can be loaded in host apps like Logic Pro or AUM as an Instrument, Audio Effect, or MIDI Processor). Don’t forget to drop the dev a review on the AppStore if you like and use the app! Cheers, Gav
