Exactly what we need in the absence of a functioning U.S. Department of Justice. An organization of ex-prosecutors and investigators who help can put cases together for current and future prosecutors who will restore accountability for corrupt federal officials and those who benefit from that corruption.
We are facing a crisis of impunity. That's why we built The Rule of Law Project โ€” to investigate unlawful conduct by federal officials, and work with state and local prosecutors to hold them to account. Watch former DOJ prosecutor Mark Blumberg and human rights leader Brad Adams launch this critical accountability initiative on MSNOW with Nicolle Wallace.

SpaceX Blocked A U.S. And NATO Satellite to Assist a Russian Intercept After Crippling Ukraine's Air Defenses The Math Proves the Reality that Musk doesn't want you to see. On Oct 13-14, SpaceX restricted Starshield/Starlink during a 39-missile Russian attack, cutting Ukrainian drone intercepts by 23% and stranding U.S. personnel in Kyiv. Forty-eight hours later (Oct 15), SpaceX blocked U.S.-licensed NRO, Space Force, and NATO radar satellite ICEYE-X36 in orbit so Russia's COSMOS 2612 weapon could intercept it (99.89%-99.98% posterior) Our Model Demonstrates that the Russian intercept of the US/NATO ICEYE X-36 satellite (contemporaneous with the throttling of Starlink) would not have been possible, and almost certainly not been attempted, without SpaceX resources. At a material opportunity cost, Russia sprinted its COSMOS satellite to intercept ICEYE X36. Based on a previous attempt in June during which X36 maneuvered to evade COSMOS, Russia knew that this would be successful only if X36 could not maneuver. On October 15, SpaceX fixed X36 in place by issuing a collision alert for a sub-kilometer approach with its Starlink 35856 when SpaceX's own data shows that the actual distance was 4.8-5.0x as great. SpaceX issued no warning to COSMOS despite the fact that its sprint was far more threatening than the stable X36 orbit. SpaceX did not maneuver its Starlink 35856 satellite to clear the supposed collision risk. How, absent coordination with SpaceX, could Russia have known that SpaceX would take actions that (a) misrepresented the danger posed by X36, and (b) resulted in the fixing of X36 thereby enabling COSMOS's successful intercept? Thus, SpaceX was directly involved in simultaneously compromising Ukraineโ€™s defensive and offensive capabilities. The conjunction of these two events makes innocent explanations untenable. The Pentagon Capture & Iran Round Two Trap: Pentagon CTO Emil Michael who cashed out $7Mโ€“$35M from Muskโ€™s inner-circle SpaceX vehicles (M8/Gigafund 0.1 and M6/Valor M33 II) and KQ Partners / xAI (selling xAIfor $5Mโ€“$25M three days before taking over CDAO/OSCand 21 days before SpaceX bought xAI, while keeping M8, M6, M9, M10 & Nomadic open) and Pete Hegseth purged rival Anthropic in two hours, surrendered combat command over US drones used to attack Iran to Starlinkโ€™s "Terms of Service," and on October 2 named Musk Co-Director of Project Meridian to design the Pentagon's "Future of Warfighting" just as America enters Iran Round Twowith depleted Patriot/THAAD magazines and Russia feeding U.S. warship/aircraft locations to Tehran. SpaceXโ€™s actions in Ukraine raise serious questions about its alignment with US security interests and its reliability as a cornerstone of US defense. These questions are particularly troubling given the effectively irreplaceable position SpaceX has been granted by the Hegseth/Emil Michael Pentagon. $SPCX $TSLA Our full quantitative analysis below w/ @streetwiseprof

Another note for SpaceX attorneys and PR: There was no need to issue an alert at all. Your own internal data showed a safe 2km pass. But you issued a 400m collision alert anyway. Why? Because the alert itself is the weapon. Issuing it triggered FCC Cond 16, legally freezing ICEYE so it couldn't dodge. STARLINK-35856 didn't use its auto-evasion. It just parked there and kept the false alarm blaring while Russia sprinted in. It wasn't an accident.

This is one article and video that I believe everyone should take the time to watch. Steve Rosenberg is the BBCโ€™s Russia correspondent and has spent many years reporting from within the country. His experience and understanding of Russian society make his observations particularly valuable. What he is expressing here deserves serious consideration, because it helps explain what the Russian people have been told, what they have been taught to believe, and how their understanding of the world has been shaped by the information available to them. That does not necessarily mean that what they have been told reflects the truth as we understand it in the West. I am trying to approach this as independently and objectively as possible. We must remember that ordinary Russian citizens do not enjoy the same freedom to question authority, challenge official narratives or express their opinions openly as we do. And perhaps that is something we in the West too often take for granted. We have the freedom to express our thoughts, challenge our governments, disagree with one another and debate matters openly on platforms such as this. We may face criticism, sometimes quite unpleasant criticism, but at least we have the right to speak, to question and, occasionally, to make a difference. For ordinary Russians, living under an increasingly authoritarian system where public dissent can carry serious consequences, those freedoms are severely restricted. We should never confuse the Russian people with the Russian government, nor assume that what people say publicly necessarily reflects what they privately believe. That, to me, is why Rosenberg's reporting is so important. It offers us an opportunity to understand not simply what is happening in Russia, but how Russians themselves are being encouraged to perceive the world around them. And perhaps the most important lesson of all is that we should never underestimate the value of the freedoms we enjoy, nor forget those who are denied them.
How is Donald Trumpโ€™s criticism of President Zelensky interpreted in Moscow? โ€œMoscow perceives these words as a mandate to continue military pressure,โ€ writes one Russian paper. I ask Muscovites to name one word thatโ€™s important to them, & read what Russian schoolkids are taught about โ€œdefence of the Motherland.โ€ #ReadingRussia

The questions the Vanity Fair journalist Matthew Cole asked Kushner's lawyer reveal that this scandal is huge, much bigger than today's article covers. I agree. The allegations are so numerous and so specific, and the denials so broad, that they are startling to read. If even a fraction of the allegations have a significant factual basis, this will be a scandal for the ages.

This is a very interesting study from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. It suggests that SARS-CoV-2 may be evolving in a way that makes it increasingly difficult for the human immune system to recognize the virus in the first placeโ€”not simply harder for existing antibodies to neutralize it. So now one has to wonder whether if fewer naรฏve human B cells can recognize an evolved virus, will the vaccines even work? Will they have a difficult time recruiting genuinely new B-cell specificities? Doesn't this seem like an issue worth considering @FDADrugs @FDA @CDC @NIHDirector_Jay? Interesting to see this in writing, but it was obvious it was heading this direction via chronic infections. Covid is evolving to avoid even more of the inbuilt immune responses. Expect more and more chronic infection.
