Unfortunately living in a small town in the shadow of another state’s large city means the politicians on our side of the border rarely get local media coverage.
That produces lots of voters with a lack of information on the candidates and the default is to just go with party.

18 states + DC have already enacted the compact, totaling 222 Electoral Votes. So we need 48 more electoral votes worth of states to join to hit the necessary 270.
Dems just captured trifectas in PA (19 EVs), MI (15), AZ (11), WI (10), and NV (6), which collectively have 61 EVs.
Wasn’t all too far off of final Michigan Legislature results just by looking at primary turnout. Ended up 63-47 and 23-15 (73-37 was always super optimistic given the small sample,

I’ve been pretty complimentary of the strategic wisdom of the “establishment” choices this cycle. They got a lot right in a lot of important places. But not backing McMorrow in MI was one of the worst strategic blunders of 2026.
