From now on, when someone asks you what your role is, you respond “I am a collaborative instructional leader.” Dr. T. Harvey
Had the best Drumline practice today! My students and I prepped for our upcoming performance, but we also were able to play different wing instruments in the same session! #Vibes – at College Station, TX
This semester has been a roller coaster of emotions, events, changes, and growth. The school year has officially ended as of yesterday, but as usual I have many things that I did not share. Heads up, I will be updating the feed on the entire semester!!😇
Ummmm, im just going to leave this here:
I am a teacher, all day, every day.
So, if you feel the need to bless a teacher this week, here’s my cashapp: $Musixpression

Stay involved and stay informed. TEA is offering educators, administrators, and counselors the opportunity to discuss fine arts curriculum requirements, educator certification requirements, and unpacking the TEKS. For more information visit: bit.ly/4cVJ1bZ
Just your neighborhood music educator, up at 12 am making resources for my level 3 students to help them understand how to determine intervals when the bottom note is not the 1st scale degree {or tonic}...🤷🏾♀️
I apologize! Things had gotten a little busy I have so much to update you on. Just you wait, I'm going to drown your timeline in musical excellence!!
Pardon my tardy post, so proud of my Choir. Singing the national anthem at a TAMU Men’s basketball game! We have come a long way! They did a good job. Thank you @aggiembk for the invite! We enjoyed the game!! – at College Station, TX
It is hard sometimes as an educator to educate in regard to right/willing & wrong/won’t. The feeling of disservice and stress on an educator like me can be immense. My soul aches for the lack of control on student preparedness that I have . 😔 I fear for them; often. – at College Station, TX
My sweet sweet girl strikes again! She has the best Christmas gifts…she warned “I don’t know how long it will live.” 🤷🏾♀️😇 This kid is graduating and she may not be taking orchestra this school year, but I sure am gonna miss her smiling face coming to check in on me! #Educator – at College Station, TX

Students wanted to give me a graduation congratulations dance…2 seniors, 😢 it’s our last year together…
Today I accomplished another one of my goals: I mastered Educational Administration! It’s only up from here & as always the students come first 😇 All of this is to make me a better educator & collaborative leader as I guide the next generation of music leaders. #LamarUGrad2023
When it’s concert day & Ms. Owens packs your tuba, double bass, and all the chairs into the U-Haul before school starts 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ This is still practice right? He’s singing all his tuba parts! #CommittedToGreatness
