.@stephenasmith your comments about Lane were ignorant and disrespectful. Saying afterward that you would never make light of mental health doesn’t erase the way you spoke about Lane. Lane is my brother. I know the MAN beyond the uniform. You’re speaking with certainty about a decision you don’t have the personal context to explain. You can assess what his absence means for the Eagles. But suggesting he wouldn’t walk away if they were winning is reckless. A winning record doesn’t tell you whether somebody is okay. Mental health doesn’t follow the NFL schedule. It ain’t linear. It’s DAILY. A man can commit to a season and later recognize that continuing comes at a cost he can no longer carry. He has every right to act on that. We ask these men to be accountable to their teammates, coaches, organizations and fans. That responsibility also extends to their children, their families and THEMSELVES. Think about what your delivery tells the next person who is struggling and afraid to speak up. That their honesty might become material for somebody’s next segment. Lane doesn’t owe you private details to earn your respect. He told us all what he needed to prioritize. That should have been enough. You have a massive platform. Carry the responsibility that comes with it. Our world is divided enough -Duke

THE BIOXCELLERATOR CONNECTION. After his life-changing 2021 injury, Duke received treatment at @bioXcellerator in Colombia and reported significant improvement. His experience shaped his advocacy for players exploring regenerative medicine options. While training at OLM, Trey and other prominent players became interested in stem cell therapy and have pursued treatment in Colombia.

THE STANDARD IS A DAILY COMMITMENT. Trey invested six figures in home recovery equipment and continues refining his approach to his body. The bigger message? Own your preparation. Build your support system. Put the same intention into recovery that you put into your craft. THE MINDSET IS THE CULTURE. Source: Matt Verderame / Sports Illustrated

We should be able to learn from someone else without feeling as though doing so diminishes who we are. The offensive line has always been bigger than football. It is one of the clearest examples of how different people can become one powerful, functioning unit, not by eliminating their individuality, but by committing their individuality to a shared mission. Five individuals. One lens. One standard. One mission. At a time when so much of the conversation in football and across America is designed to separate us, maybe it is time for the offensive line to lead again. Not just for the game, but for the country. -Duke The MINDSET is the Culture!!! 2/2

OL Public Service Announcement When I created OL Masterminds over a decade ago, the purpose was simple: elevate, educate, empower, and highlight the offensive line position through collaboration. I believed then, as I do now, that no position in sports better represents what true unity is supposed to look like. An offensive line is made up of five individuals with different bodies, backgrounds, experiences, strengths, and responsibilities. Each player sees the game from a slightly different vantage point, but for the unit to function, all five must ultimately see it through one lens. Their success depends on communication, trust, accountability, and a willingness to put the mission ahead of the individual. Unfortunately, the offensive line coaching and development community has become increasingly fractured. Too much of the conversation is now driven by ego, agendas, tribalism, and the need to prove that one philosophy is superior to every other. “If you don’t teach it my way, you’re wrong.” “If you don’t belong to our group, you don’t understand football.” That mindset is not leadership. It is insecurity. Much like the current political landscape in America, we have allowed disagreement to become division. We have confused having strong convictions with needing everyone else’s convictions to be wrong. Instead of exchanging ideas, challenging one another, and learning through honest collaboration, too many people retreat into tribes where agreement is rewarded and different perspectives are treated as threats. Here is the news flash: study 160 offensive linemen in the NFL and you will see 160 different expressions of the position. Study college football and you will find countless techniques, systems, body types, and approaches succeeding at a high level. There are absolutely foundational principles that transcend eras, systems, and philosophies. Posture, balance, leverage, timing, vision, communication, and strain will always matter. Those principles create the foundation, but they do not require everyone to build the exact same house. Bruce Lee said, “Using no way as way; having no limitation as limitation.” He also reminded us to “be water.” Water adapts without losing its identity. It responds to the environment in front of it. It can move around an obstacle, flow through an opening, or meet force with force. That does not mean having no standards or convictions. It means refusing to become so rigid that you can no longer learn, adjust, or recognize truth when it arrives in a form different from your own. The offensive line should be the group that reminds football, and perhaps America, what unity actually looks like. Unity is not uniformity. It does not require five people to think exactly alike, come from the same place, or solve every problem the same way. It requires them to align around a shared purpose. It means communicating through disagreement, putting the mission ahead of personal recognition, and understanding that individual success is directly connected to the person beside you. On the offensive line, you cover for one another. You accept accountability when you are wrong. You solve problems together. You do your job with the understanding that someone else’s livelihood, health, and success may depend on it. Ego cannot be allowed to destroy the unit because the moment one person decides he is more important than the five, the entire operation becomes vulnerable. It’s a lesson that extends well beyond football. We do not have to come from the same place, look the same, teach the same techniques, vote the same way, worship the same way, or live identical lives. But we must remain capable of respecting one another, finding common ground, and working toward something greater than ourselves. We should be able to compete without tearing each other down. We should be able to disagree without becoming enemies. We should be able to protect our principles without losing our humanity. 1/2

Everyone wants to improve. The question is: What are you willing to do to earn it? Development doesn't happen because you worked out once. It happens because you keep showing up, accept coaching, train with purpose, and improve one day at a time. That's the standard we believe in at OL Masterminds. No shortcuts. No empty promises. Just coaching, competition, and consistent development. If you're serious about becoming a better offensive lineman, commit to the process not just the outcome. 📲 Follow @OLMTraining and be part of a community that values growth over excuses. #GrowthMindset #OffensiveLine

There will be days when you’re motivated. There will be days when you’re not. The offensive linemen who keep ascending are the ones who hold their standard of #DISCIPLINE regardless of how they feel.
