❤️🐾 One day, I hope my children will remember not just the dogs we cared for, but the kindness they chose to give. Today, Kareem and Hamoud went out on their own to put food down for the dogs. I watched them take this small responsibility into their own hands, and it meant more to me than I can easily explain. I have always wanted my children to understand that compassion is not measured by how much we have, but by what we are willing to share with a life that needs us. Today, they showed me that this lesson is becoming part of who they are. Here in Gaza, life has taught us how difficult each day can be. Yet these dogs still need food, clean water, and care, and their needs do not pause when life becomes harder for us. Seeing my boys show up for them gives me hope. I hope they will carry this kindness with them wherever life takes them. My family and I will continue caring for these dogs, but keeping that care going for so many innocent lives takes people who are willing to stand with us. If children are our future, then protecting their health must be our priority!! chuffed.org/project/136892-m… In Gaza, malnutrition continues to threaten that future because in the first half of October alone, 710 children under five were admitted for acute malnutrition treatment, including 102 suffering from severe acute malnutrition, to Gaza’s hospitals - those who have gone untreated are probably more. At The Sameer Project's Tawbah Clinic in Jabalia, we have specialist doctors available daily, including pediatricians and a dedicated Nutrition Department. Our medical team monitors malnourished children, provides nutritional support, treats childhood illnesses, administers medication, and stabilizes emergencies. When hospital care is necessary, we can transport children in our own ambulance. And we don't just treat a child once and send them away. We follow their progress, monitor their recovery, and work to give them a healthier future. Finally... After all this exhaustion, pain, and endless suffering, in the midst of the ongoing war and genocide. God has blessed me today with the greatest gift of all. ❤️ I have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy, who carries the name of his brother, whom we lost three years ago. A light that has illuminated the darkness, a message of life from God in the midst of death. Words cannot describe the joy filling my heart. All praise be to God for this precious blessing and His endless mercy, even in the hardest of times. From the depths of my heart, I thank everyone who stood by my side and cared for me and my family. Your presence was a lifeline for us during our darkest days. You helped save my wife and our newborn son, and I will never forget your kindness and love.
