Marzanna is 100% spot on If you want to see how "messaging" used to be cleverly folded into entertainment without it dragging everything down to a therapy session or lecture, see further the writing of the legendary @PatMillsComics in his Strontium Dog stories
Replying to @AngryJoeShow
When most people play a game, it is to relax and spend a few hours in another world, another life, doing something meaningful - like saving the world. It isn't so they can be lectured by a rude, unlikeable malignant narcissist about being "nonbinary."

In "Demon Maker" Johnny has to save his own sister and niece, both of whom are normal and not mutants, from a killer criminal. The end of the story involves his own family turning their backs on Johnny because he is a mutant and a bounty hunter. THAT is how you do "othering".

'The Norman and the Saxon' by Rudyard Kipling. "My son," said the Norman Baron, "I am dying, and you will be heir To all the broad acres in England that William gave me for share When he conquered the Saxon at Hastings, and a nice little handful it is. But before you go over to rule it I want you to understand this:– "The Saxon is not like us Normans. His manners are not so polite. But he never means anything serious till he talks about justice and right. When he stands like an ox in the furrow – with his sullen set eyes on your own, And grumbles, 'This isn't fair dealing,' my son, leave the Saxon alone. "You can horsewhip your Gascony archers, or torture your Picardy spears; But don't try that game on the Saxon; you'll have the whole brood round your ears. From the richest old Thane in the county to the poorest chained serf in the field, They'll be at you and on you like hornets, and, if you are wise, you will yield. "But first you must master their language, their dialect, proverbs and songs. Don't trust any clerk to interpret when they come with the tale of their wrongs. Let them know that you know what they're saying; let them feel that you know what to say. Yes, even when you want to go hunting, hear 'em out if it takes you all day. "They'll drink every hour of the daylight and poach every hour of the dark. It's the sport not the rabbits they're after (we've plenty of game in the park). Don't hang them or cut off their fingers. That's wasteful as well as unkind, For a hard-bitten, South-country poacher makes the best man-at-arms you can find. "Appear with your wife and the children at their weddings and funerals and feasts. Be polite but not friendly to Bishops; be good to all poor parish priests. Say 'we,' 'us' and 'ours' when you're talking, instead of 'you fellows' and 'I.' Don't ride over seeds; keep your temper; and never you tell 'em a lie!"

I WAS THERE!
¡Thunder! ⚡️🎶⚡️🎶⚡️🎶

Detroit, 1935. William Stout built a car with the engine in the back and a living room inside, with a folding table and seats you could move around. It cost $5,000, when most cars were under $1,000, and fewer than ten were ever made. People called it ugly back then. I'd call it the first minivan, 50 years too early. Would you have bought one?

I have always respected Tommy Robinson for his work on the rape gangs - he gave evidence to our inquiry, and it was remarkable to hear his level of knowledge. It contributed massively to our findings. Tommy was fair and balanced. I learnt a lot. He has not been treated fairly by our establishment for many years, and today is the latest example of that. To be honest, I believe it is a disgrace. He was right on the rape gangs. The state was wrong. They want to vilify him for that. The media, the justice system, Labour, the Tories, Farage. It was made very clear to me when I was in Reform that I was not to praise Tommy Robinson publicly. I did regardless. The entire establishment is against him. My view is this - he has done more than any politician to uncover the rape gangs, and for that I thank him.

White slaves. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 For three hundred years, pirates from Algiers sailed to Britain and Ireland, came ashore at night, and took people from their beds. Baltimore, 1631. A hundred and seven people gone in one night. At most three ever came home. Over a million Europeans ended up in chains in North Africa. Nobody bought them. They were stolen. The kings of Europe paid ransom. For centuries. In 1816, Britain stopped paying. Lord Exmouth. Twenty British ships, six Dutch, against one of the strongest fortresses on earth. 27 August 1816. Nine hours. Fifty thousand cannonballs. 128 British sailors killed. The next day the Dey signed. Every Christian slave freed. 1,083 people walked out of Algiers in one afternoon. Nobody came for them... Until we did. ⚓🇬🇧💪
