Calley Means claims President Trump Exploded “How the Hell Did This Happen?”, After Learning Heidi Overton and Sarah Harris Quietly Pushed a DOJ Brief Helping Bayer Escape Glyphosate Cancer Lawsuits—Without Telling RFK Jr.
Means said the Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a brief urging the Supreme Court to take Bayer’s glyphosate (Roundup) liability case and support giving the company liability protection.
He claimed this was done entirely without consulting RFK Jr. (“Bobby”).
• Heidi Overton (White House health policy aide and later FDA commissioner nominee, described by Means as “Susie’s person”) worked with the DOJ to construct the legal argument for why the Court should take the case and support liability protection for pesticide makers. Means said she did not consult Kennedy.
• Sarah Harris (brought into the Solicitor General’s office; previously at Williams & Connolly, which represented Bayer) wrote the opinion arguing the Supreme Court should take the case and grant liability protection to Bayer.
Means said the Court took the case and sided with Bayer (which he claimed it wouldn’t have done without the administration’s brief), and that Trump was unaware his own DOJ had supported it.
Both still hold government roles.
— Heidi was selected by Trump to be the FDA commissioner, pending confirmation.
— Sarah is still the Principal Deputy Solicitor General at the Department of Justice

“The idea that our food system in order for it to function relies on poison is really insane, especially when you realize it’s not being used in other countries.”

Joe Rogan: "How is it possible that something that's known to give people cancer gets liability protection?"
Good question. How? If a product carries serious health risks, shouldn't the companies making it be held accountable when something goes wrong?
Instead, we're talking about a system where manufacturers can receive legal protections that most other industries don't have.

Calley Means: “It is impossible to describe how demonic DC culture is.”
“We’re robbing the American people.”
“It’s not one party.”
“Republicans or Democrats … didn’t vote to have people that are accepting money from foreign countries.”
“Have their kids working at lobbying firms that are making tens of millions of dollars.”
“Have a centralized policy process that is entirely dictated not by voters, but by lobbyists.”
“I actually spoke to some of my friends who are top lobbyists, I’m like, is this right to you?”
“Americans are going to … rebel.”
“I’m like, why are you doing this?”
“It’s the game.”
“I have a good career, good life.”
“This is how DC works.”
“Chuck Schumer gave a speech to the hospital lobbyists two weeks ago saying, I’m going to have your back.”
“He went around to all the lobbyists saying, we’re going to help you out.”
“Every firm and every company in DC is shifting to Schumer’s former staffers or Jeffries’s former staffers.”
“This is how it works.”
“Congress and the Senate, I don’t think they’ve passed a bill in the past 20 years that’s significantly taken on special interest.”

On average, Americans pay about a 14.5% federal income tax rate, and the FAA is still using floppy disks.
That is one more reason the federal government should not be running anything, especially your healthcare.

Bill Maher and Coleman Hughes finish each other's sentences for 3 minutes straight as they lay out how teachers' unions wrecked public education.
The MS NOW host thought she could sit this one out quietly. Then Maher turned and lobbed a grenade right at her.
MAHER: "The reason why they don't know that socialism didn't work... is because NOBODY taught them in school."
HUGHES: "A lot of kids go to underperforming public schools, which is our euphemism for government-funded daycare centers with occasional school-like activities."
MAHER: "I knew they weren't learning anything, but like you said, it's like a daycare center and not a good one."
HUGHES: "And I think people on the left want to blame funding because that's the easy issue. But the truth is, this school was well funded. You know, it's 50,000 per pupil at this school. The problem isn't the funding. It's that you can't fire anyone bad."
MAHER: "Yes.... The problem is the union, the teachers union, is too powerful. We've seen it in results in states where the union is less powerful, the schools do better."
HUGHES: "I call it the chalkboard mafia."
MAHER: "The problem, the unions protect bad schools and bad teachers, and the party protects the union. It's almost impossible in a lot of these cities to fire a teacher. I mean literally like you could sell drugs to a kid and it's got to be two offenses before we get—"
HUGHES: "It wasn't that long ago that the unions lobbied for a law in New York State to ban even collecting data that you would use to assess which teachers are better than others. You can't even get the data. So obviously the teachers union serves the teachers, they don't serve the students, and if you're a Democrat or any American that's serious about public school reform, you have to challenge the teachers union, period."
MAHER: "And I think in this school, where they were learning nothing with no supervision and absentee principals and teachers, I think spending 50,000 dollars per year per student, it's not money. That's what you always hear from the left. 'Oh, it's underfunded.' It's not the funding. The funding isn't the issue."
HUGHES: "No, it hasn't been for a very long time."
MAHER: "I think this is the kind of thing I will NEVER hear on MS NOW."
ALI VITALI: "I think you hear a lot of perspectives on MS NOW."
MAHER: "I don't ever hear that one."
CONTEXT: Maher and Hughes aren't making this up. On the latest Nation's Report Card, high school seniors posted the lowest reading and math scores ever recorded on the test.
And getting rid of bad teachers is nearly impossible. Federal survey data shows the average school district dismissed just 0.2 tenured teachers for poor performance in a year. That's roughly 1 in 500.
Meanwhile, students do better long-term in states where unions have less power.
A 2019 study in the American Economic Journal found that boys who went to school in states that forced districts to bargain with teachers' unions went on to earn about $2,100 LESS per year as adults compared to boys in states without those laws.
If a business failed this badly, someone would get fired. As Hughes put it: "The teachers union serves the teachers; they don't serve the students."

What if Democrats and Republicans competed to make Americans healthier instead of competing to destroy one another?

Dear Democrats - This is not how you win a coalition or work together. This is how you waste time while our children continue to get sicker than any developed nation. GO after the special interests. GO after the corporate capture. GO after the people in the OMB that stop good policies from getting to the finish line. GO after the fing corruption! EXPOSE these people with all your might!

The solution is to have a Federal government so small it hardly matters who is in charge.

Please note: The arrogance of this exchange is not attractive to #MAHA Moms. This is not in the essence of working together - this seems like more of the same clown show we have seen year after year in DC. We need leaders who are willing to listen, put their egos aside, and actually work together to keep our children healthy and safe.

Adding to the list of things I am not normalizing
If you go to bed on election night and don't know who won a midterm congressional race, that's normal. And if you wake up the next morning and find that a candidate who was behind hours earlier has since pulled ahead, that's normal, too. (via @PolitiFact) to.pbs.org/4zqnWBa

You want a federal government so small, so limited in scope, and so unobtrusive that the average American barely notices it exists.

This is exactly how Communists think: anyone who dares to disagree with them deserves the wrath of the State and the Party.
That is why Communist regimes have killed more people than any other political systems in history.

Haley Stevens’ rejection of Elf Sayed and endorsement of Mike Rogers is a good reminder that the real fight isn’t Democrats vs Republicans…it’s Americans vs communists.
