A client reached out to me because he wanted me to source and import a Toyota Avalon from the U.S. and have it delivered to his doorstep in Nigeria. His initial brief was a 2014/2015 Avalon, with a budget of ₦17M. He made a 70% deposit upfront, gave me the go-ahead, and I got to work. After searching through several options in the U.S., I found a clean 2017 Toyota Avalon Touring that immediately stood out. And this wasn’t just a newer year. it was a Touring, with some really nice features: -wireless phone charging -heated and ventilated front seats -JBL premium audio -blind-spot monitoring -rear cross-traffic alert, and a sportier Touring package. I went through the car, checked the condition and numbers, then presented it to the client. I explained why, in my opinion, this was a much better buy than simply settling for a 2014/15 because of the original budget. He agreed.
