My property taxes say 42% is going towards the schools.
The CT Lottery says all funds go to the schools.

I JUST GOT ASKED TO BUY SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR A CLASSROOM THAT’S ALREADY FUNDED BY TAXPAYERS.
The teacher’s wishlist included pencils, paper, tissues, and markers.
Nothing fancy. Just basic things kids need to learn.
Parents pay property taxes, sales taxes, and income taxes, then get another list asking them to reach into their pockets so the classroom can function.
And if they can’t afford to help, their kids still need those supplies.
HOW ARE WE FUNDING PUBLIC EDUCATION WITH BILLIONS OF TAX DOLLARS, YET TEACHERS STILL HAVE TO ASK PARENTS TO BUY PENCILS?

A U.S. senator took a briefing on the Iran war plan. Then he reviewed it on X.
Chris Murphy, Democrat of Connecticut, said it Wednesday to a room at the Middle East Institute, a Washington think tank. Thursday morning he typed it out for everyone else: "Some of us have been briefed on the war plan. And while I cannot disclose any details, I can say this: the plan is insane. It will not achieve objectives."
Cannot disclose any details. Then confirms the plan exists, puts it after the election, and tells the world it will fail.
Tehran already knew the rest. The war has been under a ceasefire since April 8. The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that Gulf governments were told to brace for a short, intense campaign after November 3. President Trump, asked about strikes after the election: "anything's possible."
