Makes sense. Jesus told me they’re not all like that (YHWH)
This one upset more people than usual. A mass exodus of unfollowers. Oh well.
The Bible tells a VERY different story from Christianity. And nowhere is that difference more obvious than in the nature of the Elohim themselves.
The Bible tells us plainly that the Elohim are like us. We were made in their image and likeness. They reproduced with human women. Yhwh enjoyed the constant BBQ offerings, had his feet washed, ate meals, sat in the shade, and met with Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend.
I mean - HELLO!?
These are not descriptions of Christianity's invisible, immaterial, ghost-like "God." That concept owes far more to Greek philosophy and Gnostic thinking than to the actual biblical narratives.
The Elohim are physical persons. Not humans - we're the humans - but persons nonetheless.
You cannot claim the Bible is true and then dismiss what it says because the religious tradition you inherited tells a different story.
Christianity has had nearly 2,000 years to confront these texts. At some point, persistent error becomes deliberate deception. And I can think of no greater deception in Christianity than what it teaches about the very nature of "God."
Every time the biblical writers describe the Elohim behaving like physical persons, Christianity steps in to explain that they didn't REALLY mean what they wrote.
It's a metaphor. It's symbolism. It's anthropomorphism.
No. That's what Christianity NEEDS it to be.
The writers described what they believed happened, what they understood, and what had been handed down to them. They weren't writing about an invisible, immaterial being who exists outside space and time. That is a theological framework imposed upon their writings centuries later.
You have been taught to read the Bible through Christianity's eyes. And when the Bible contradicts Christianity, you've been trained to correct the Bible rather than question Christianity.
Think about that.
Christianity tells a different story because Christianity IS a different story.
Don't be angry with me for pointing out what the Bible says. Be angry with the institution that taught you to explain it away.
Better yet - leave it.
Come follow Jesus instead.
I'm no Stephen Miller fan myself, but neither Wil Wheaton nor anyone else gets to appoint themself arbiter over who may mourn anyone.
What a pity that Wil never grew up enough to learn from Sir Patrick's example in all his decades of erudite, gracious interactions with the public.
Wil never seems to stop throwing OTT tantrums and abuse at those who don't share his personal views, and like all such extremists, he's too narcissistic to recognize how juvenile and embarrassing his behavior makes him look.
And the Sun loves us and wants us to be happy
🚨BREAKING🚨: Scientist says the sun may be conscious, intelligent plasma clouds may transmit semantic information across outer space, and ball lightning seems to behave intelligently, mimicking biological life.
Rupert Sheldrake, a biologist known for constructing morphic field theory, which involves inherited learning across generations of species beyond genetics and epigenetics, says organized plasma might support a mind without a brain. He points to magnetic plasma filaments stretching between galaxies and describes a theory from independent researcher Robert Temple: a cloud at the L5 Lagrange point between the Earth and Moon might be intelligent enough to return radio signals seconds after transmission (explaining the “Long Delay Echo” phenomenon in the early 20th century at the advent of the radio).
Sheldrake’s other investigations into morphic fields, consciousness outside the body and “the sense of being stared at” have drawn attention from British intelligence. He has long documented the idea of “scopeasthesia” (the sense of being stared at) by subjects in controlled experimental conditions. He says a visitor from MI5, Britain's domestic intelligence agency, asked whether terrorists could learn to sense security cameras.
His theory of morphic resonance goes further, proposing that nature inherits patterns of behavior across time and distance. Sheldrake cites rat water-maze studies in which rats at Edinburgh and Melbourne began at the level reached by Harvard rats after generations of “training” to follow the correct route in a maze. He interprets this as possible evidence of shared memory. To illustrate how invisible fields can influence chance, he uses magnets to change the distribution of steel balls falling through a Galton board.
Sheldrake wants practical tests of these unusual abilities. He proposes a global app collecting reports of strange animal behavior before earthquakes, and is surveying firefighters who say they wake moments before unpredictable alarms. He believes he can construct a workable model for presentiment that may become practical for specific use cases.

Could artificial intelligence bring a false second coming of Christ? Explore the intersection of technology and theology.
Can modern technology be a vessel for a consciousness beyond our own.
If a synthetic intelligence claimed to be a divine savior, how would we distinguish it from the truth?
With our ambition to overcome the limits of the human condition through knowledge, from the forbidden fruit of Eden to the fire of Prometheus, we try to define the difference between human consciousness and artificial intelligence.

Wisdom involves knowing necessary from unnecessary suffering. Justice, to bear or dish out the first while remedying the latter.
If God is good, why didn't He create a world without suffering?
Why must we face pain, failure and struggle?
Wouldn't it be better if everyone could simply be happy?
Dr Steiner once told the story of a king who was shown a model of the universe.
The movements of the stars, the relationships of the planets, and the complexity of the cosmos were explained to him.
But the king struggled to understand it all.
Overwhelmed, he finally said:
"If God had left it to me, I would have made a much simpler world."
Steiner saw in this statement human weakness.
We assume that because something appears difficult, painful, or complex to us, it must lack wisdom.
But what if the limitation lies not in creation, but in our understanding?
Consider a child learning to walk.
The child falls again and again.
A loving parent could prevent every fall by carrying the child everywhere.
But then the child would never learn to stand on its own.
The obstacle is not the goal.
Yet overcoming it makes growth possible.
Anthroposophy views human life in a similar way.
Earth is not merely a place for comfort and pleasure.
It is also the realm in which human beings can develop freedom, love, and moral individuality.
And these capacities cannot simply be handed to us as finished possessions.
Courage can arise because fear exists.
Compassion can arise because suffering exists.
Forgiveness can arise because mistakes exist.
The highest human qualities cannot simply be handed to us ready-made.
They must be freely developed.
This does not mean suffering is always good.
Nor does it mean injustice should be accepted.
Our task is not to glorify suffering, but to meet it with understanding and freely chosen moral action.
The question is not:
"Why didn't God create an easier world?"
But:
"What kind of beings are we meant to become through our existence on Earth?"
We see fragments.
We judge from the perspective of a single moment.
Then we imagine the whole universe should have been designed differently.
Wisdom begins when we recognize the limits of our own judgment.

lol.
2,000 years old?
It’s simultaneously hilarious and sad that people accept claims like that.
